In varying degrees other people might see us on the positive side as having an active social life, lucky in love, or holding down a well-paying job. Our life might appear to be enviable to them because they can't see our innermost fear of "how will I make the month?"
Living payday to payday is not living at all - it's like sitting on a fault line. To maintain day-to-day expenses we are taking on record amounts of consumer debt. This makes us incredibly anxious and stressed out. As hard working citizens we are being squeezed from every direction.
The last of America's middle-class is fading in the rearview mirror. We compete with 1.3 billion Chinese and 1.1 billion India citizens for our jobs. One source claims that Bank of America should not even be allowed to have "America" in their title.
