I am new to this forum and somewhat to marketing. I am in a trial with a service called Doba. Any advice or comments regarding this service?

I plan to use these products with 1. Ebay and 2. E-Commerce store. Currently I am participating in the Niche Blueprint

It is a good starting point to learn drop shipping and to test products for marketability. However, the prices are expensive compared to what you can get by dealing direct with the individual vendors in bulk. Don't try to sell them on eBay, or on a website to make any money. You will lose. The big hitters are all buying direct.

Same thing. Although worldwidebrands does a more effective screening of their sources, the products are more expensive than most drop shipping companies. Their training is topnotch, and highly recommended. Unless you are selling in large volume, however, it is very competitive. I often will sell products on ebay for large losses to gain customers who usually then buy premium backend products.

Here is an excellent review of dropshipping companies including worldwidebrands

Worldwide Brands is the best for me. Though their membership fee is a bit expensive, they take care of their members well by offering not only verified suppliers but also a number of educational tools that will make one's online business successful. Before you sign up though for Worldwide Brands, you need to make sure that you set your expectations first and define your goals clearly. Just my two cents.

          morwanneg,

Are you making any money selling any of the actual products listed in the directory? Or do you just sell the directory itself? This is a very difficult market to compete in unless you can buy in quantity or have relatively exclusive sources. The directory certainly does not contain any "exclusive" sources because of its widespread publicity. Selling the directory and program is easy, and people are making fortunes selling these. But using this information to make a profit takes time and investment capital. Most people lose because they do not have the required resources. As I said before, the big hitters buy direct and in quantity.

Yes. I am making money selling their products. But it takes time just like everything else. Most people think drop shipping is easy just because you've signed up for this and that. Drop shipping is definitely not easy. You have to dedicate enough time researching and studying the market that will really bring you the money.

I don't believe you are making money dropshipping using these sources from worldwidebrands. You only said that you are selling their products. Their prices are way too expensive to be competitive by dropshipping. Sorry, but I have been in this business way too long to believe all this hype I guess.

I sell a lot of their products myself by first using dropshipping to test my ads. Almost always it's at a loss to test market prices. After a product has a successful response, then I buy them direct in large quantities. But claiming that someone can make significant profits in dropshipping with worldwidebrands is misleading at best. And, morwanneg, as an affiliate of worldwidebrands, hopefully you can provide a little more clarification.

So let me ask you again, morwanneg, are you making money specifically by dropshipping products from worldwidebrands?

This is true. I made the mistake of signing up for Doba for a year and a half and I'm stuck. I can't sell those expensive products anywhere online. It looks like a legit company but their prices are too high if you're looking to make money online. It takes a special craft to be able to pin point that one product out of a billion that you can make tons of money with. I never broke the code.

You'll be better off looking for a liquidator instead of a wholesaler to buy your products from and sell online.

I agree with myob. I have done tons of researches and plenty of spreadsheets! I have yet to find any dropship services that can provide you with any possible profits, if you are considering to sell the items through ebay or similar avena.

Still trying to see where to locate the possible individual vendor!

I never said that i am making significant profits with drop shipping but i am making money from it. I find it hard to move from one niche to another. For now, i'm focusing on a single product. After a few months, i'll see if i have to move on to another niche or stay with what i have right now. No problem, i never asked you to believe me. I'm also so used to people claiming they're experts on this and that. We believe what we want to believe. : )

Thank you for your most candid response, morwanneg, and for removing some of the hype. Could 1 cent net profit per sale mean you are making money at it? As you said you never have claimed to be making any significant profits. Sorry to be so hard on you, but it is not fair to the OP to have been exposed to all the hype surrounding this niche. As it turns out, my disbelief is founded on facts based on experience and now your own admission.

Just as I had said from the beginning, worldwidebrands is a topnotch course to learn, and to find sources. But you have to admit the sales page makes it look easy for beginners. In reality, to make any significant profits, you have to buy direct in quantity. You will lose by trying to compete with the big boys on ebay or on a website if you're going to dropship using worldwideproducts or any other dropshipping directory. Most of these products are widespread on the internet and prices are hard to beat.
