I'm having the same issue as you described in post #3 and yes it's very frustrating. I was using Firefox 9 and I thought it was a compatibility issue because it was a new release of Firefox so I closed it out and opened Google Chrome browser and had the same exact issue.

I reset my password and seemed to be a little better, meaning it only took a couple of tries to login verses 8-10 tries each day in the last week or so.

I'm not having that problem, but I had a similar problem a while back when I was using Firefox. I found if I closed the browser completely, then re-opened it, the problem went away.

The only problems I have these days is the forum is so slow it's annoying, so I haven't been coming around as much. I just don't have the patience to wait 30-45 seconds or longer (when they time out) for each page to load.

Ive literally tried everything. IE, FF, clearing the browsers cache, resetting default settings.

Its a real pain in the arse. Especially when you're having to post a reply several times for it to stick.

Actually I have some login issues too. Exactly the same as you have posted in #3.

I logged in a couple of times but still it is as if I wasn't. However if I clicked on a different forum only then that I would see my name above. (E.g. Logging in in the main page and clicking the Off Topic)

If the problem of log in , the best think to do is check box on loging area. you will okay.
But like Kay said it happen to me sometime data base error, Maybe to many file in here
more then that I dont know !

Just to chip in I'm having the same issues on Firefox on a pc, plus chrome on a max... Usually takes me 4 times to log-in. It also did the same on the windows phone I'm writing this post on

Took a few attempts to finally get logged in so I could reply here.... Ticking 'Remember' doesnt seem to help much either.

I have not facing such problem. Also I am not using firefox. Contact with admin if possible.

I didn't have any login issues since I changed my password last week until today. I lost count how many times I had to keep trying to login. I guess the majority of people haven't had this issue? :confused:

I keep getting...."In order to upgrade to a more robust platform all passwords need to be reset." I have to reset my password every other day! Anyone know how to stop this? Is it because I am using Chrome or something?

I usually don't use the 'remember me' check box when logging in. But it was recommended to me from the support desk to keep that box checked. It does seem to decrease the amount of time out and database errors, but not completely gone away.

I don't really speak techie, so I'll just paste some more info from support:

When your logged in, your handed a cookie anyhow, but it appears for whatever reason, that wasn't always getting set and so you where given a logged out cached page. But when you use the remember me, your given 2 additional cookies (which is also checked against) and so that helps out. What I need to do is modify the code to not cache pages that produce DB errors (you may get one that actually someone else got) when logged out and a few other tweaks. Something is happening at this time of day, not sure if it's user/mod initiated or cron. I'll look when I get a chance.

The "remember me" box usually works...but I have literally had to log into the forum at least 20 times today...not sure if it's SQL...or :confused: but probably...

I know you're a more savvy SQL guy than I, Steve, but you don't think the data base might be dumping or rolling over somewhere?

You know, I've been noticing strange little things going wrong/different here for months.

Now it's a few things I notice, things are refreshing much slower, you can be on the directory page and see a thread go to that subforum and it's not there yet...and variations on that.
Now the biggest problem I'm having constantly...is the database error.
It's not cookies, not the browser...it is the script/software..

If I were to hazard a guess...which I am..I would say someone is trying to modify/customize it or it's flat out degrading. Maybe a server problem..
It is getting old...
