      Ethnic foods buffets are awesome.
When I lived in Fl. there was a Cuban buffet in Ybor City I ate at often.
The last couple of visits to Fl. I've made it a point to stop at a Chinese Buffet in Deland.

As for dinner, last night it was a T-bone with melted Feta cheese on it with Italian Squash sautéed in olive oil with garlic and tossed with feta cheese. Also boiled potatoes covered with a Peppercorn Garlic sauce.
In fact I took a picture of it.

I love ethnic foods.. I didn't get down to the Mexican buffet yet but did have burritos tonight. :p

We have a Chinese buffet here in town that everyone raved about. Tried it and was sorely disappointed. Next town over they had a Chinese buffet with over 150 different items but sadly, it closed recently. They must have had 10-15 different types of shrimp alone, loads of fish dishes and other seafoods, sushi .. man, I miss that place!

For some reason your pinking sticture won't load, but you made me hungry. That peppercorn garlic sauce pushed me over the edge. I had to pull out gorp from my desk drawer to munch on.

Now if I gain another pound I can blame it on you.

Same here. The couple I have around me don't have the variety that the one in Deland has or the quality. There is a fairly large Middle Eastern population here and many types of restaurants, but no buffets
There is also a locally large Asian community made up mostly of college students who go to R.P.I. so you would think there would be some kick butt buffets, but no.

The one thing I miss about the south, FOOD!
There use to be a restaurant in Tampa owned by a husband and wife team from Georgia. At the time it was the place for home cooked meals.
They had two goals. 1. You would have the best home cooked meal you could get in a restaurant and 2. You would not leave hungry.
If you ordered bacon and eggs for breakfast you got, 1/2 dozen eggs, a pile of bacon, bread, toast, biscuits in sausage gravy, biscuits on the side, sausage gravy on the side, grits, and a pot of coffee to wash it down.

Lazy dinner tonight, not my usual kind of cooking - I used a canned bean with bacon soup and added quite a few good things to it, home made chicken broth, chopped chicken, cooked celery, onion and pasta. It needed some more spices after stretching it, but it was delicious and very filling. We don't eat soup out of a can without fixing it for fat and salt content.

Tomorrow's plan is breakfast for dinner: home made pancakes, eggs and bacon.

It has been said that "you are what you eat."

Taking it a step further, I wonder if you can tell what type of Internet Marketer a person is by what they eat?

Somebody with interpretive skills should give us an analysis of the personality types demonstrated here by Warriors, relative to their eating habits.

You'd have to take culture, demographics, and economics into account as well.. if I lived near the ocean and had a lot more $$, I'd be eating a lot more seafood! Then again, if you watched a lot of tv at certain periods of your life, your meals might consist of Jiffy Pop (as much fun to make as it is to eat!)..

Economics is a big factor for me.. grocery prices have risen so much.

        Wouldn't need more $$
Seafood is real cheap at the source. Plus you have the advantage of being able to get some yourself. I lived on Blue Crab when I lived in Tampa, yet I've never bought one in my life

That's true enough.. I should have said "or" instead of "and". Until the last 10 years, I'd always lived either near the ocean or a lake, so, yeah, definitely cheaper (or free) at the source. Used to go fishing nearly every day.
