Whats up everyone, I want to advertise my website but i don't want to violate any rules, how do i go about doing it on this website?

    Participate. Get your post count up and as Sal said, put the link in your signature, and on your profile. Also, the more you participate, the more you can slip it in to relevant discussions. Just be careful not to spam it everywhere, you'll get banned fast.

    If you blend yourself into the community, ask and answer lots of questions especially ones related to your field, you will find that people will be checking you out and as long as it's relevant and truly helpful...members won't mind as much if you slip it in there from time to time if they can find real value from it.

    ***EDIT: Let me clear something up...you need to build trust and value among the community BEFORE you put it out there. Don't just post a lot of junk.

    yes, if it is a link to a site you own put it in your sig and offer valuable content.

    You cannot put affiliate links in your sig or on this forum in posts.

    This is not the forum to post "fluff" or crappy comments.

    And since you asked, I would suggest you read all the rules.

    You cannot self promote unless you are in one of the forums where you paid to promote such as WSO, for hire or classifieds.

    You cannot point someone to your sig or say PM me.

    If you get reported too often for spammy posts or spamming people in PM you will be banned.

    So definitely read and follow all the forum rules overall and in each separate sub forum.
