Peanuts isn't a food that is dangerous because it's poison - it's just a food that a lot of people have allergies to. (They are, incidentally iodine blockers, though, so ingesting too many of them can cause thyroid problems). GMO foods are foods that are just inherently dangerous.

One study is not enough because there are so many variables possible with food studies.

One test on grapefruit that says it can be dangerous is nothing but a test that says others may need to be run to see if those results are continual under a variable amount of circumstances. GMO's aren't considered dangerous after one test - there are tests on top of tests on top of tests that show they are deadly - to us and to the environment and every other life form.

When one study run shows a food to be harmful - it's just a study the media published to get readers or that the research firm promoted for publicity. It means little. If there are many studies being cited - then it's time to think about what you are eating.

Of course - another problem is that everyone's physiology is slightly different from everyone else's and something good for most people can be just plain bad for someone else.

There's a little test you can run that will tell you if ANYTHING will be bad for you - and it will be information from the best authority out there - your own body.

Hold your arm straight out in front of you with your palm out. Have someone try to push your arm down while you resist the attempt. Then put the item in question in your hand - not in a container in your hand, but directly resting on your skin. Then have the person attempt to push your arm down again. If your strength was noticeably decreased, then what you are holding will not be good for your body. If you are holding a whole food such as a piece of fruit or a head of lettuce, wash the item well and try it again - it might have been sprayed with something toxic.

Is that witch craft? sounds a bit odd to me does that! Hold your arm straight?

Anyway, i know i cant eat pork....very ill with it. My sister in law came out in a very irritable rash she worked this out after some time, after she ate kiwi fruit. She became quite ill.
Like you said there are not enough tests scientifically to be able to tell which foods may be your poison.

Thus the old saying; One man`s food is another man`s poison
