Well, a pre-concieved idea anyway...

    The Internet as an idea has been around for quite a while relatively, but it did not start to have significant wide spread use until the 1990's I believe.

    The internet was based upon a technology that was based upon a technology that was based on an IDEA that THROUGHOUT HISTORY willl be known to have a lower limit of 1970. SO, there you go, the idea we currently know as the internet was at the earliest first applied in 1970. Of course, it didn't really become commercially feasible until 1971. It didn't have commercial support until 1975, IBM, the THEN mysterious market leader, didn't bless it until about 1980. It didn't open up in the US until about 1990. The WWW (which is what this forum is on, and you REALLY mean! The internet is more the MEDIUM!) wasn't created until sometime after THAT! And he talks about "channeling into a store" That is a reference to an old idea that is more like a personalized QVC(TV shopping network), than the internet.
