I can notice my computer starting to drag a little more each day. It is a few years old and obviously doesn't run at the pace it did brand new. I've run all my anti viruses to clean out anything.

What else should/could I do to get it performing a little better? Disk defragment? System restore? I don't want to sign up with a program or site or anything. I would like to use the options on my computer. It's a PC.

2 quick solutions: SuperAntiSpyware and CCleaner... You can get them both from filehippo-dot-com

CCleaner should do the trick.. BTW what do you mean run all your anti viruses? Do you have more than one anti virus program running? If you do it will definitely slow down your system.

Another vote for CCleaner, delete browser cache, history, etc...

Also, run the registry cleaner on CCleaner, that will help remove a bunch of dead files that happen over time from deleting software, etc...
