WHY??...Do My posts Disappear??

The last three questions I have asked on this forum have dissapeared less than 30 minutes after posting them. They are just GONE! No explaination, no nothing.

I asked a question reguarding "quote mark searches" in the internet marketing forum and 15 min. later it is just plain missing!

I did a search for "all threads strated by kiethdavis" and it doesn't show up. (Nor do my last two). It's like I never posted them! I posted in the correct section and broke no rules. I also verified they were showing up. So I KNOW they were on there for at least a few minutes.

I'm getting pretty ticked about it! I wasted a HUGE amount of time posting only to have the posts dissapear.

Is this some glitch in the system or do people just NOT LIKE ME???

This is absolutely rediculous!

I wanted to post this in the main marketing forum (where I posted my questions that disappeared), but that wouldn't be the appropriate place.

Ideas ANYONE???

I have also been treated pretty rude here as of late. I just don't get it. This USED to be a fun, informative and positive place, but I'm about ready to go elsewhere.

If I sound ticked off, it's because I AM!!!

Anyhow, If this has happened to anyone else, please let me know as MAYBE it IS just an honest mistake or glitch.

Thanks for any responses (if this post even stays up),

Kieth

The mods delete and lock legitimate posts a lot of times for no rhyme or reason. Sadly they don't have to answer to anyone, at least not to the users and I doubt to the owner so nothing can be done.

I'm new here Kieth, but this hasn't happened to me (as far as I know). I've been an active member of other forums and the only reason they would delete a post is if a rule was broken. Sounds like that isn't the case here. Hopefully the help desk can fix it.

Thanks for responding fellas. Who knows whats going on? It's at least relieving to know it isn't happening to just me (sort of), as it would be nice if it didn't happen to anyone.

If any mods are reading this, at least a quick pm or something saying why posts are deleted would be helpful for everyone. Because I have read the rules and I'm pretty sure my posts met all requirements and were in the right place.

If we get no feedback when a post is deleted, how do we know what we did wrong (if in fact anything was done wrong) so we can avoid it in the future?

In the end, just deleting someone's post and giving no feedback only ticks them off or at the very least discourages them.

It's kind of like when a company treats all customers excellent at first, then gets big and starts treating everyone as expendable.

This is exactly what happened at places like paypal and google adwords.

Can anyone say they "love" or are even "pleased" with how paypal handles issues? They freeze your money and ask questions later.

I for one hope this isn't what is happening here.

      Cheers,

      Kieth

    Kieth,

Ummm... The "Quotes" post was moved to the SEO section. Not deleted. That is, perhaps not surprisingly, where an SEO-related post belongs. You might check to see if the other posts you're griping about being deleted weren't just moved.

Or not. Post in the wrong section and we're as likely to delete them as anything. If you think the mods should have to waste our time making sure your posts are in the right place so you don't have to... You may want to rethink that position.
Because I have read the rules
You clearly have not, or you'd know that posts put in the wrong section tend to get deleted, and why. And you'd know that the mods don't explain every deletion, and why.

And you'd know that posting a "Why was my thread deleted" thread is a great way to get banned for a while.

It's not like this stuff isn't right there in the stickies in Main Discussion, for all the world to see...

I'm sure it looks like that to people who haven't read, or can't read, the rules.

The fact that you don't understand an action does not mean it has no rhyme or reason behind it. Simply that you don't understand it.

That makes sense, that it was moved. But it wasn't showing up anywhere, so I thought it was deleted. My Mistake.

    Kieth,

It should have been deleted. And this was worth ranting over... why?

Please read the rules. That will save you from having to deal with the anxiety it apparently causes you when we do exactly what we say we'll do, right there in black and white.
