It may be ridiculous, but I sort of feel like a caveman putting on a show of being civilized. Often, I vaguely wonder if I'll be found out.

LOL. Just LOL. I often am much better at faking being fit for polite society myself than I actually am. Sometimes I actually get the charade over.

If it weren't for women we men would still be living caves. We would have football, beer, and television.

        ditto.

I think most women don't realize that men are motivated to do things to get chicks.
Why did we move out of caves and build more comfortable housing?
        To make "mama" happy.
Why did we invent the wheel?
To make it easier to make "Mama" happy.
Why did invent anything that makes life easier, and/or makes more money?
        To make "Mama" happy.
'Cause, as we all know, "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy".

I'm sure I read somewhere that we invented the wheel as a means of transport. ;-)

Of course, that gate swings both ways. Women are motivated to do things to get guys too. For example, look at how many women pretend to like sports ... until they get married.

I don't think so. As men we have many complex and important emotions: Sleepy, hungry, horny, etc.

  • Millions In China Live In Energy Efficient Caves

"Barbara Demick reports in the LA Times that more than 30 million Chinese people live in caves, many of them in Shaanxi province, where the Loess plateau, with its distinctive cliffs of yellow, porous soil, makes digging easy and cave dwelling a reasonable option. The better caves protrude from mountains and are reinforced with brick masonry. Some are connected laterally so a family can have several chambers. Electricity and even running water can be brought in. 'Most aren't so fancy, but I've seen some really beautiful caves: high ceilings and spacious with a nice yard out front where you can exercise and sit in the sun,' says Ren, who works as a driver in the Shaanxi provincial capital, Xian. 'It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It's quiet and safe.' In recent years, architects have been reappraising the cave in environmental terms,CAVE COMEBACK | Inhabitat - Green Design Will Save the World and they like what they see. 'It is energy efficient. The farmers can save their arable land for planting if they build their houses in the slope. It doesn't take much money or skill to build,' says Liu Jiaping, director of the Green Architecture Research Center in Xian and perhaps the leading expert on cave living.World Habitat Awards | Innovation. Liu helped design and develop a modernized version of traditional cave dwellings that in 2006 was a finalist for a World Habitat Award, sponsored by a British foundation dedicated to sustainable housing. Meanwhile, a thriving market around Yanan means a cave with three rooms and a bathroom (a total of 750 square feet) can be advertised for sale at $46,000. 'Life is easy and comfortable here. I don't need to climb stairs. I have everything I need,' says 76-year-old Ma Liangshui. 'I've lived all my life in caves, and I can't imagine anything different.

Every man needs a cave My husband's man cave is 100 metres away from the house which is great, he can play loud music, have a few beers with his mates and not disturb us up in the house.

        Hi all,

From my point of view we are still cave man.
Basics have not changed 1 bit.

Get a bigger warmer / cooler, more protected apartment (cave) to get a better looking female.

Get the fastest / strongest horse (car) to impress the better looking female to come to your bigger cave.

and so on and so on.

        LOL
