Google Plus will take over facebook?

not tried g+ yet, but I think that facebook will be always the boss

when (and if) people will get tired of fb, all the entire social mania will collapse

There is absolutely no comparison between google plus and facebook. Facebook is the market leader right now and google will have to do something gigantic to beat it.

They still have a closed system in some ways. For example, until recently no one could post to their Google+ account from external services such as Hootsuite (even then, you have to have the most expensive Hootsuite account to do so now).

That makes is somewhat limited in terms of social networking. The best thing that Google+ has done so far is force Facebook to evolve.

Seems to me (just thinking) that G+ users are specializing in photos/graphics and not much verbiage, while Facebook is the place to talk. If a picture is worth 1000 words, though, maybe that's the new way... look what's happening at Pinterest.

FB is the market leader. But they need to reduce the advertisement in pages.

Here is my opinion. Google Plus has become the fastest network to reach 50 million users. Other fact is non-geeks still don't know about it. I read on a blog that the average time spent by users on it is just a few minutes in a month, whereas it is many hours for FB per month. Users commenting here- how many of you did logged in to it in last 3 days. I did yesterday for around a minute or so.

Many google engineers are leaving their jobs due to Google pushing Plus so hard and leaving its streak of innovation. I always love to read the blogs and interview of ex-Google employees on Linkedin and mashable (and now on official microsoft blog too).

Google making continuous changes in its search algo to include the effects of social signals emphasizing more on their own network and trying to suppress Twitter and FB (which they are clearly failing). I wonder how long and how hard Google will push it until finally it decides to close it and move on to something innovative. Although they have done so much after buzz failure but it still remains away from the large masses who are on FB.

I would be surprised if something does not eclipse FaceBook at some point, but I am not optimistic that it would be Google+... although it is not impossible.
