Tarsila,

At first, I resent the idea that Facebook is upgrading their profiles to Timeline. But later on I found out that it is actually tailored to help out marketers promote their products. It's quite frustrating how Facebook updates their system time to time but every changes is well-thought I guess so I hope you'd come to like it someday.

I hated it at first, but am actually getting used to it now.. The Facebook guys clearly know what they're doing, everyone seems to hate their new features for a few days then end up loving them once they're used to them.. I personally don't mind new features, I appreciate the fact that Facebook is free, so what right do we have to moan?

I still dont like timeline. True it is neater and more personalized, but it's so much slower now, and stalker-friendly. Sadly, there isn't really much I can do about it, except rant and get used to it.

Initially I found the Facebook timeline really cool as it allows people to go back to your timeline and check your activities which is interesting to go through but as time passes by, I started disliking the design with two columns and it seemed to be mess for me. Having said that, as we keep on using the Facebook timeline on daily basis, i guess we get used to on that. The thing about Facebook updates is, you may perceive the updates with mixed feelings or you may even hate it but later on you will get used to of it and eventually you will stop complaining

And yea Facebook timeline cover is the best one. Anyone who can use it to the best complementing the profile picture, it adds that golden touch to your profile. Conclusively,I have started liking the Facebook timeline now.

Cheers!!

The only good thing about the timeline is cover Other.... For example I want to see full, but not cropped pictures in the posts (you have to use >550 px width). Also, hate these two columns as too much information for the fans per once. Just looks too messy.

  Thanks

I have grown to love the new Facebook Timeline and not just because I make money from it. CTR (Clickthough Rate) has improved for me and my clients since the Timeline switch, which means more referrals.

The pinned posts are great for campaigns or important info about your biz. If visitors haven't liked your page, links to your website and social media profiles show on the right. If you make good use of the About section, that's somewhere else you can place a link, which shows to all - fans or non-fans. The highlighted posts get the message across.

Of course, the wider format also means we can do so much more. I am getting more requests for stores on Facebook since Timeline. Videos, sliders etc all look so much better.

Hated it at first, because most of us resist change. Get to know the features, they are geared towards business and branding.
