Hey, I got a new governor on my car...this one governs everything!

There are so many petitions etc. out there right now concerning our privacy-rights-freedoms, you name it....I'm beginning to think it warrants it's own forum right here on the WF!

Should have been awake a few years ago - about 85% of cars sold now are said to have a rudimentary black box in them.

The initial idea was a good one - to show the actions of the car and driver in the moments just before, during and after an accident.

Expanded to big brother purposes - it could be used to impose a mileage tax in the future, used to track movement without permission, etc. It could also help prosecute criminals using their car for illegal activities or prove your innocence in an accident dispute.

The problem is when you own the car and the black box - you should also fully own the information in that box. This overrides that privacy issue.

In the UK the government are about to pass an act that would allow a special dept access to all your emails, web site searches, texts and phone calls that you make - for whatever reason! Now that is shocking!

I just don't understand why so many people seem surprised.

Know something -- I'm getting worn out on people being so damned shocked about this crap. People called me a fruitcake for decades when I talked about his crap -- now they are all alarmed and freaked out. Well you know what -- it's YOUR fault that it's happening because you completely neglected to check anything out that anyone said to you -- you were comfy and had everything you wanted in life so just refused to even look at the possibilities. You just told us to shut up and play with our tinfoil.

Kay is right. If you have even a remotely new car, they know every damned move you make in it. SURPRISE. If you use a cell phone, they can track every move you make - unless you go as far as to take the battery out of it. SURPRISE. AND General Patena (sp?) just revealed that the US military is now taking orders from the UN and Nato and a senator has just initiated some sort of action on the issue of Treason. SURPRISE -- stuff you won't hear from the Press which is no longer free, but corporate run and partisan. SURPRISE.

Seeing how you were all screaming tinfoil and calling other citizens names instead of at least looking into what people doing their due diligence were trying to tell you, you might consider turning off your damned TV's and quit texting and help us try to FIX things.

We DO have the power to stop anything and every bit of it. We have to quit kibbling with each other and join en-mass to get rid of any politician who supports radical invasions of privacy - just kick their asses out of office. They get their pensions whether they are re-elected or not so why do they care what you want? They just get in there for their own wealth. If you KICK them OUT they don't get those benefits anymore. So cut the "wait til November rhetoric" - they laugh at that crap.

You want to stop a corporation? Find a local company that can provide a duplicate service and tell them to get ready. Then quit buying from and quit working for the offensive corporation. They can't operate without employees and customers. Don't ask the gov to do regulate, that just compounds the problem. Get your community involved to take it back on a local level - - be ready to help support anyone who is unemployed until the jobs open back up at the local company. Give them a room in your house or start a community fund for them. Then watch the monster collapse when everyone just turns them off. Good way to get the money back into the community that is going to globalists or outsourced workers, too.

We can take it back -- it just takes unity, commitment, and more action that whining on forums. I've been involved at this level for years, and with everyone else just whining when they even notice anything at all, there's been no support for me for the effort. So at this time I'm strapped and just plain pissed off at my fellow citizens and their little consumer habits. If there were 5 more out of every 10 doing the same as I have been doing for a decade now, we'd already have had this crap licked.

Kay - you might think that there's nothing so traumatic about people watching you when you are doing "nothing illegal" but consider this -- who's watching you when you are in a store dressing room or a public restroom? There are vans now that are equiped with technology that can see right through your home's walls. Do you not mind having some perv in a van watching you on the toilet, in the shower, or during intimate times with a man? I'd think the perverts they hire would get major enjoyment from watching such "mundane and legal" activity.

Try to look at it from an optimistic point of view...

If things keep going the way they are here...it won't be so very long before we are the country everyone else outsources to...

I have looked at other options. I'll check back here and read to see if there is a better place to go.

I am not one bit surprised about this or anything else that is passed in the middle of the night by these snake oil salesmen who parade around the capitol pretending to be civil servants.

I'll admit that my eyes were shut and I had my head in the sand until about three years ago. I don't much understand the way things work here in the once Good O'l US of A so I chose to stay ignorant.

However, when I started advocating for struggling homeowners, I researched and found out more information than I wanted to know. One thing lead to another. And then another. And then another. At that time, I was shocked. Shocked that this crap has been going on for a long time but a terrible feeling of hopelessness.

What can one person do?

Well, one person can make a change.

I started typing what I did but it was taking a wrong direction.

I'll just say I spent an incredible amount of time on the phone, sending emails and yelling from the top of the hills in Texas.

Lori -- that's where a corporate owned media and a militarized police comes in handy. Once people even FIND OUT about anything and organize a peaceful protest, they are very good at making it look like violent police attacks on peaceful protesters were actually provoked by crowd violence. Smoke and mirrors.

oh btw - I agree with Sharp and saw it work in Egypt -- but with the technology now available to our leaders, I think if we make one mistake this election - including not monitoring EVERY poll location for fraud, that it will have become to late to actually do much about the situation without a civil war. I hope that is wrong, but I'm looking at the power that they have and the total insanity over wealth and power that the top dogs have........as well as part of the reason for the mass concern at taking power right NOW.

Frankly I'm not sure what to think other than we are in for some major scary times by the end of the next decade - due to our own ignorance and carelessness as a species. I'm not sure whether what the gov is doing is to make sure they rule the world when it's over, or whether it's to save at least a portion of the population. Can't figure out what their rational is yet. Although I do know that the Milineum doctrine (sp?) was the overt document and am more that slightly sure contingency plans have been made covertly to handle the situation as it goes into emergency stages.

I have no doubt you know a lot of what is reported by the lame stream media is not accurate. It's more difficult to get away with the media's attempt to twist certain events thanks in large part to the internet.

Recently a producer from MSM was fired because he edited a word out of an important statement regarding a high profile case. Shocker. [not]

this sounds like something that is very real, although the story comes from info wars which alex jones hosts, and thus making me want to hear from it someone, somewhere else, i do believe it but still would like to hear ir from someone else.
