Left Arrow Key Not working - This is WEIRD!!

Hi!

So anyway this is the story...LAUGH as you may!

I noticed my "left arrow" on my keyword not working last night so I went to bed hoping I was imagining it...

Anyway it's still the same now. It's very annoying because I use spreadsheets a lot but you do tend to use that key quite a lot anyway...least I do..

It's not an old keyboard either...it's actually one I got replaced only 6 weeks ago because I had a spillage on my other keyboard....so I'd like to point out nothing definitely has been spilt on it as I'm very careful now! The key does not seem loose in anyway and has the same pressure as the other keys.

So I wanted to know:
- Is there some kind of accidental lock that can be applied to one key?
- Yes I could try taking it off with a screw driver but I'm concerned about taking them off as I hear once you take them off they are never the same?

So what should I do! I'm a little annoyed! It's just very weird on a newish keyboard!

    Hmm..

    Looks like you either need to try and get a refunded replacement of that key board, or simply buy a new one - not from the same maker of your existing one though!

    I go through key boards as if they were going out of fashion. I might be too heavy handed!

    As they are relatively inexpensive, I always have a brand new boxed one in store for emergencies.

    In an extreme situation and as a last resort, you could always consider amputation of your right hand thumb and forefinger :p

      There is a slight possibility that you may have inadvertently re-programmed the key to a non-functioning state.

      Not likely, but possible.

      If they still make them, a KeyTronics Lifetime Keyboard is the way to go.

      I'm still using the one I bought in 1992.
