hi frens,

i want to know if we can use images from public domain for our blog/website.
I read somewhere that images from public domains are free to use.

for example : i am writing one article on bali tourism, can i pickup some images from official government website of Indonesia for my blog.

correct me if i am wrong.

thanx

Govt. website photos are not Public Domain as far as I know.. Search for "Public Domain Photos" on Google and there are many website which offer them. You can use them even without Link Backs or credits.

    Search for :

Bali Tourism on Google Advanced Search and use the 'free to use, share or modify, even commercially' usage right filter.

Also, be aware that what you think of as public domain may not be public domain. Just because a website or an image shows up in a Google search, doesn't mean it's public domain.

True, you can have someone say a photo is old and public domain, but if the guy in the photo is alive and sees it, he may say," Hey where's my check."
