    EDIT: not that I'm arguing with your links, BTW. I don't doubt that it went down exactly as described.

    Big tobacco, Big oil, Big agriculture (Monsanto), blah blah blah.

    The problem is not the people who offer the money - it's the people who TAKE it. Big POLITICS.

    We could do more, with fewer laws, by punishing the people who take the graft, who peddle their influence. Send their butts to Leavenworth, banish them from any government position forever. If those were the penalties, maybe some of these dinkheads would think twice before they got on an Exxon, PM, or Monsanto jet for a 'fact-finding' mission to Bali.
