GM & Ford need CEO's
There must be an art to be an embezzler, thief, and useless moneydrain, ALL 100% legal.
If you gonna steal , nothing less than $500 million dollars, the bigger you do it, the more the Justice system gives you respect, and make a deal to keep some of the money by cooperating with the authorities, and a sweet slap on the wrist...,
Or be a useless CEO, good at talking the jargon and terminology, good at politics, make the right friends and connections, but absolutely have no clue on how to generate money for the company to be more and more financially solvent.
Where do you find jobs like this?
A guy can have a record of bankrupting 5 or more companies in a row, and there's another corporation just waiting to hire them with a guaranteed contract and salary, no matter how bad they run the company into the ground with abject incompetence.
I guess the secret is the ability to make news statements and make the stock market spike temporarily so the stockholders/owners make a chunk at a time...fast , big money NOW is worth running a business into the ground, slowly disintegrate the future, hell , you can always sell it or file bankruptcy, liquidate, make profit, have write-offs, and move on to the victim, Dracula should be jealous.
Since foreign car companies showed how things ought to be, there should've been 2 new CEO's every year till now until a CEO finally got a clue.
Have plummenting sales for the last 20 years, and still have your million dollar salary, bonuses, private jet and other ungodly perks...where do you find jobs like this again?
These guys should be paid on measurable, tangible growth and sales, just like a salesman who works on commission.
Pay a guy millions based on a resume and some figures that he takes credit for, that any magician with a sharp pen make him seem like the 2nd coming of Thomas Edison?
The stockmarket is now saying to corporate america, "we don't believe your phoney sales stats and reports, mirrors and smokes nor your corporate officers resume's and track record, nor have faith that you would suffer any serious penalties and have laws insulating you from seriously harming the public and your customers."
You faked us out and lied to us before, so keep cryin wolf.
If only dollar bills had veins and the ability to move blood plasma thru it, you would have an instant organ replacement for these louts.
You could'nt replace a conscious though, cause there had to be one there in the first place.
