Great Idea for California!???

A bill in California wants to make it a "sanctuary state" for illegal immigrants. Pundits are arguing it - but I think it's a great idea.

Let all the illegals move to California - and let them support that broke state. Surely someone is kidding about this bill?

I wouldn't be so sure someone is kidding about the bill. Not when it come to California. They do a lot of ... how to say it nicely ... unexpected things there.

    WELCOME TO LOONEY TUNES

NOW YOU KNOW WHY THEY CALL IT THE 'LEFT COAST'

Might as well be legal to occupy - they are here and they are not going away so

    WHAT IS IN A WORD?

    This just makes me sick.
If it passes I am definitely leaving.

    Legally.

I think the assembly AND senate members that voted for this insanity need to be DEPORTED to TIJUANA.

    From the L.A. Times:

"Recent census figures show the state is losing more Californians like McCluer than it is attracting from other parts of the U.S. And the trend toward out-migration is looking less like a blip than a long-term condition.

The proportion of Californians who had moved here from out of state reached a 100-year low of about 20% in 2010, and the decade measured by the most recent census was the first in a century in which the majority of Californians were native-born.

The demographics of California today more closely resemble those of 1900 than of 1950: It is a mostly home-grown population, whose future depends on the children of immigrants and their children, said William Frey, a demographer and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution."
Apparently the politicians there are happy replacing legal citizens leaving the state with illegal immigrants.

      Dennis,

I think its partially because people

A: Dont have to go to california to see how cool the world is anymore.

B: They can become movie stars without leaving their living room

This just totally ruined my whole day. It is really upsetting as I have watched for decades how the American people have been sold down the river as their jobs have been sent off-shore, industries sent off-shore, mom and pops sold out to megas, farmers put out of business, more and more people in the food bank lines, etc.

... and then how against the will of the people illegal immigration has been allowed to flourish stealing tax dollars and services and putting us in SERVITUDE to them essentially as we are FORCED to pay for them.

Now my own state where I have lived all my life is a fricking traitor. The people in 'power' here are whacked and I am more angry at them and their complete stupidity than I am at illegal aliens. I am absolutely LIVID at this point.

"The problem is....well, ok there are several problems with this insane bill. First we have a state with by far the largest population of undocumented immigrants in the United States, with nearly 2.6 million at the start of 2010 - which is now welcoming in even more illegals.

California is nearly broke, with much of it caused by that same mass of illegals - pushing hospitals, schools and social services to the breaking point or beyond.

For example, 84 hospitals in California have entered bankruptcy or closed due to illegal aliens, as unpaid medical bills from illegals now cost state hospitals a staggering $1.25 BILLION annually (2010)."

"But most critically, the bill is a clear violation of Federal immigration law - which the Supreme Court ruling on S.B. 1070 makes even more stark. As the California State Sheriff's Association, which opposes the bill, argued, state and local authorities cannot opt out of the Secure Communities program."

The kicker here is the Supreme Court virtually NEVER agrees with anything that is not a leftist agenda such as the illegal occupation of this country. I am sure they are rolling out the red carpet right now as we speak - same story different day.

So Americans - get used to it. It isn't just about California - It's the Feds looking the other way - guess it is just too big of a problem to deal with any other way but to just roll over for it. Roll over, good doggie.

      Perspective from a Legal Immigrant...

First i would like to say that immigrating here legally is a long, expensive and frustrating process, especially when you see so many millions just taking a shortcut by walking across the border.

I will never forget when i first went into a Home Depot after immigrating here in 2005, i was walking down the aisle trying to find something when i noticed all the signs were in Spanish

I thought i had made a wrong turn somewhere and landed up in Mexico? And that's the problem right there, America has been far to lax and accommodating on illegal immigration and now it's TO LATE!

Politicians only care about one thing and that's keeping their jobs, and as a voting block Latino's are now a major group that are needed by both parties.
That's why they can't/won't do anything to secure the southern border, they don't want to upset a large and growing voting block...

A few more decades of this and you will be outvoted, sad but true...

Anyway it has been an uphill battle for us but i am very, very appreciative of the opportunity to live, work and raise a family in this great country...

You know, just this morning was thinking about how THIS kind of problem even makes pollution WORSE! They USED to have products for a given area, and US products had instructions in English. NOW, they are in EVERYTHING. Even utility bills.

And Kay, they AREN'T kidding! I left there 10 years ago PARTIALLY because of this. I had a LOT of reasons, but this WAS another. DECADES ago a couple mexican groups said California was never sold to the US properly, and is still MEXICO and now they want it BACK!

Where I lived for about 8 years is an area in LA county that was a nice safe clean middle class area. When I left, it was LESS safe, LESS clean, and becoming very mexican, and low class. I have been there several times since. EVEN the nice mall, built when I was there, was run down, etc... It was like one of those apocalypse movies.

And YEAH, there IS a lot of agriculture there. But THIS area was basically service and manufacturing. and the WORLD knows the history behind products that came from Calfornia. Speaking of which, a lot of HOLLYWOOD is run down! EVEN parts of the outskirts of beverly hills seem pretty seedy!

Granted, that is not ALL because of the immigrant problem, though the area I started with and the mall certainly MOSTLY is. But this forces the higher class(Used as a SOCIAL term, not an economic one) people out of the area. MANY move out of the STATE. They get replaced, and thngs just escalate.

California has agriculture and manufacturing that can't just be moved AND, of course, it's bad losing shoreline, but this is just going to get WORSE.

Well, the initial reason for us moving here is that my wife's company opened a office here in Houston and asked her to be Head of Operations. The major reason "we" accepted was security, not only personal but also long term. Everything here just works better (believe it or not).

There has been a lot of talk about American exceptional ism and the American dream lately, is America still a world leader and does America still produce exceptional people?

My answer is yes, although there are many who disagree but then they don't know how lucky they are, they have never lived anywhere else. Yes there are problems, but IMO America still offers the best opportunities...

    Example:
You may have heard of Elon Musk the co-founder of Paypal and Spacex, he left SA to finish his studies here in the USA, after graduating from Stanford he started Zip2.com and the rest is history...
Elon and i were best friends in high school before he left, he is a prime example of American exceptional ism and that the American dream is alive and well...

Hope i answered your question John

I have absolutely no issues when any immigrant who is here legally.

You say the process was long and hard? THAT WAS INTENTIONAL. If someone wants something bad enough they should be willing to work at it,whether its an IPod, a car, a house, or citizenship to a country.

I would start tomorrow personally escorting any illegal immigrants I could out of our country. I would also start emptying the non violent drug users ( pot smokers) out of the prisons and start filling them up with the illegal immigrants. Since our country has stopped enforcing the immigration laws and statutes, we candemand the courts stop the law that says you come here and have a baby its automatically a US citizen.

    Enough is enough.

I truly believe California has committed an act of treason and needs to be called on it.

    None of this matters...

God is coming....at least thats what I would like to believe. I have spent a lifetime of being prideful and being my own God, and I have come to the conclusion that even if its all in my head, in this world I need a savior, because otherwise I cannot comprehend the corruption.

I even have a tattoo on my wrist that is chinese symbols for "Diety People".... meaning that I believe man is God, but if we are God, then we're all in trouble.

    Edit:

Ps. Maybe this is the worlds secret plan for making all the mexicans fall into the ocean?

Could happen... Maybe they think that if they put enough mexicans on it , it will just break off. lol

John, you're right! I really don't believe in god, at least not a judeochristian one. I REALLY hope I am proven wrong! The judeochristian belief, at its CORE, disregarding a lot of the other minutia that is up to doctrine, etc... Is that god will set it right! The bullies on earth that have been REALLY bad will be forever isolated, and treated like so much refuse. The ones that have been somewhat bad will be at the end of the line. The kind altruistic ones that have been bullied for it will be right up front. And NO cutsies or savsies!!!!!

Many of the very rich have been bullies, and many of the very poor trodden upon, and I think THAT is how THAT idea comes up. Also, the very rich are expected to WILLINGLY give to those in NEED! So being taxed to give to someone you know is a con artist doesn't count. This ALSO means EVEN the very poor that have murdered, etc... will be NOT be in the good group.

The only real dispute among Christians, outside of what indicates good(which is really pretty silly and I doubt they REALLY believe), is who will be in the number, if something will exclude them, etc...., and where they will be.

The Mormons and Catholics, for example, feel that you will be excluded if you aren't baptized into their faiths. I don't know about the mormons, but the catholics believe that puts you into purgatory, and most believe you can get out of that.

John, you seem to be trying to explain why no one is going to California, but the story was about legal California residents leaving the state. If I recall correctly, the term "mass exodus" was used somewhere in the story. I didn't quote the whole story because it was kind of long and wasn't necessary or relevant to my point.

      At Steve...I was actually serious.

After a lifetime of being the way I have been, i have truly found more power in having faith in God, than in myself. Ah, I see that. i wouldnt argue with you anyway Steve, no matter what you believed.

I reach out to God, and find my faith a little at a time where I find it, but I havent bought anyones religions hook line and sinker... I just know that the God my mother prays to is powerful. Still not sure I perceive him the way she taught it...I think my thinking on the subject may be a bit more exapnded- but I know he's real and there is more power leaning on his laws than my own.

Sorry if I didnt understand correctly. In any event no offense would have been taken, nor any judgement rendered.

          We agree.

If you need someone to convince you - I could tell you some stories about how my faith has really taken off -

But "worse case scenario"- It IS better to believe even a lie that empowers you than a truth that weakens you (Abraham.Hicks)- but I believe that I believe in the true God, and I know it because he is powerful. Not because of what any text says- I argued all that stuff out of reason a long time ago!

The "reasoning" mind cant comprehend it- So text is useless to me...Where is GOD? When he shows up, you know it. And he has shown up more than a few times where I knew it.

          Ps.

I think what we are both saying is that we have been our Gods for so long that we have reasoned ourselves out of reason- through gaining knowledge-then "knowing" and that knowing has lead us both to a place where we are seeing that there must be more to it than reason- even "meta physical" reasoning- and we are both trying to perceive and reason why we are starting to believe things that have no reason lol.

Im with you. Tryin to find my faith again.

One thing is clear- "The World Needs A Savior".

    Back to topic -

Along with all the economic and environmental issues that the illegal occupation of America involves, the one that is really chilling is that even with the futile efforts being made to protect our so-called 'borders' from the criminal elements, more and more of their violence is bleeding all over us -- (from all over south and central america - not just mexico although that is the majority).

With NO law enforcement this is giving the dealers, smugglers, murderers and kidnappers carte blanche because they are now being welcomed - yes they are since who knows if that backpack has a bottle of windex to clean your windows or an uzi to clean your clock?

... and remember the demons in Mexico who have for example beheaded law enforcement en masse are akin to the Columbian mobs who kill the judges, mayors, politicians who try to stop them.

This is going to be all out war in our streets too - already is in border towns - but now there is no border so maybe coming to a theatre near you any day now.

I am very much against war and violence - however with one big exception and that is if we are under direct attack on our own soil. OF COURSE.

Well we are and there should be military action at every border - but then too little too late? Since they are already on this side of the border in the millions.

    What now? Get a clue?

"Many a soul begins to come to God when he flings off being religious, because there is only one Master of the human heart, and that is not religion, but Jesus Christ".

"Discipleship is based on devotion to Jesus Christ, not on adherence to a belief or a creed".

If you can't see Him in your 'minds' eye' then it is either not time for you to see yet or you refuse Him which means you are dead to The Spirit.

My point will always be that religion - no matter what you call it, is the antithesis of God. In fact it is religion that crucified Christ.

... and that is why so many people have been turned away from God by all the lies you hear in 'church' and from so called religionists - 'scripture twisting' and adding crap that is not in the Bible at all. (like the two that Steve mentions).

Haters (unbelievers) want to paint God and all Christians with those lies because 1.they can't see and/or 2. they want an excuse (and lies are a hella good excuse, I admit).

That is always my point in reaching out to those people who have 'thrown out the Baby with the bathwater'. Big mistake like 'cutting off your nose to spite your face'.

They can't see so that means it doesn't exist and anybody who thinks otherwise is a fool.

Just remember that because someone is blind it does not mean there is nothing to see.
