I don't know if it was just a coincidence, but close to midnight Saturday night I was in the WF and was about to post to my WF blog when the server connection crashed, and at the exact same time a music site I had open started going goofy on me. I couldn't get the WF to re-load, so I assumed it was my computer doing updates. I closed those browsers and worked on something else.

Sunday afternoon (now), I am having the same issue you both have mentioned. The last time this happened, someone said that it was due to WF updates in process.

Yeah, the site was down late last night.

Then today, I've had problems deleting PM's, posting to threads and using the search function.

I think the glitches have been worked out.

Haha! I didn't know this thread was active.

Thanks everyone for the responses.

This morning I was trying to post and I'd hit the "submit reply" yet, my post wasn't posted. I did this a few times.

Finally, I submitted a ticket as I wasn't banned and couldn't figure out what the heck was going on.....Thomas replied:

we currently have an issue with the forum database

DUH!!! I hadn't had my morning coffee, and I usually take note of the time when responses to posts are made.

This morning, I didn't pay any attention to the time

. If I had, I would have realized the forum came to a halt at a certain time, as nobody posted after that.

Glad its up and running again.

Lol... Happened to me too this morning so I left for awhile.
When I returned, I realized I had posted 4 times in the same thread!!!
I promptly deleted the three duplicate posts hoping I wasn't about to be spanked by a Mod... ;-)

That is going to be the correct answer the majority of the time. VBulletin is a great forum platform but I can't think of any other forum that has a db of this many members.

Started at 1 AM, eastern. It was completely down for quite a while. Then they got the DB issue fixed, but it wasn't refreshing views, so posts would "take," but people wouldn't see them. Had a ton of duplicate posts to clean up this afternoon, when things got back to normal.

With a database this size, fixes are ... slow.

On the plus side, this thread got Mr Mayo to post, so that's a good thing.
