First drone arrest of a citizen
Apparently, people have trouble covering all the details, so here are a few that are missing:
Apparently, this guy is a "soveriegn citizen", who basically believes we should have the same rights as the amish. The amish are left alone, because they promise to effectively be their own government. There is apparently a law that goes back over 100 years that covers them and few others.
He has a large farm, and a neighbors cows came in and started eating. He wanted the neighbor to reimburse him. The neighbor refused, so he did also, and that is SUPPOSEDLY when this bit started.
I don't know where the drones came into play, outside of facilitating the forceful arrest, but District Judge Joel Medd apparently didn't either.
Anyway, they found out that the farmer had guns, DUH! They asked his wife where they were, and believed she knowingly lied. So they arrested both of them, and later the kids. In another article, it says:

When police first showed up on the scene, they tasered and arrested Mr. Brossart after he refused to surrender the cows. His wife was also arrested for supposedly "misleading" the police as to where the "illegal weapons" were. Police arrived again the following day and were chased away by Brossart's armed, adult children. That's when police reciprocated with a warrant, a SWAT team, a bomb squad and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, courtesy of Homeland Security. The spy drone was able to give the County Sheriff aerial footage of the property on his laptop and tell if any of the residents were armed. After a total of 16 hours of standoff, the SWAT team raided the house and arrested Brossart's sons on "terrorizing" and other charges. |
ALL we need is MECHANICAL robots, led by a megalomaniac computer, and we have "terminator". For now, we have to settle for something more like "metropolis", or "the time machine". It IS starting to look more like 1984.
I wonder how much will be proven right. When I was a kid, I heard a "prophecy" that said that things would hit the fan between 1995 and 2029. A few others, going back hundreds of years, say between like 2006 and maybe 2076. And frankly, it looks like they could all come true. The one I heard about when a key person would be born(1960s) will expire in perhaps 17 years, we'll probably find out before 15 years are up though. The one about the pope is up in the air, but the last pope is supposed to be the next one, and the current one is pretty old. Of course, I am disregarding the 2012 "prophecy", but there IS still time for that. ONE person dies, long enough before the 2012 time, and bam... Edcar cayce, the bible, nostradamus, 2012, etc... could all end up being right. All is in play. There IS another prediction that has been proven potentially right. The belief was that it would be proposed later, but it is in the works NOW. The expiration on THAT is 2017(IIRC). But THAT is too political. There is ANOTHER that was proven right decades ago, but ALAS, too political.
Frankly, I don't care if they are proven wrong. The current similarities are bad enough. The threat of hyper inflation, culture battles, country battles, the middle east turmoil, immorality, persecution, etc... are all pretty bad. And if the next pope dies after being established, and another pope is elected, then several predictions will be proven wrong.
They create TONS of movies, and it hits the news, and they STILL ignore it. Just last friday, I heard about a guy discussing this DECADES ago. Everyone FOUGHT some key parts, and he warned people that they would, but they all practically forgot about it. So much for the famous battle cry. I knew about SOME of it, since a person listened to him, and got another to head up the cry, and they worked to ridicule him, but I didn't know the earlier history.
