I am a saver, I saved up for the raining days, I avoid at all costs to make wasteful purchases on unwanted items, which one is you?

I'm a spender. BUT I don't spend my money on cr*p. I invest in usefull stuff instead that have some value. So if I have to, I can sell it and get some of my money back.

Right now I'm a spender because I am not sure what's going on in this country yet -we're deep into a transition and I have no clue if our money system's going to survive. I'm not savin' it just so someone else can just steal it from me. Once I can figure out which way things are swinging, I'll start throwing it in that direction. The direction of the economy should be evident by 2013 so I'll start being a saver, or at least a shuffler, again probably around the turn of the year. This whole economic crisis thing just completely pisses me off. I wish it would either recover or crash and get it the hell over with.

You could invest in gold. After my experience and opinion, it's much more safe to have for example $10,000 invested in gold than $10,000 in the bank or in shares if the economy is unstable.

Spender, I just feel that saving for a rainy is sort of letting fear of the future, or the 'unknown' govern...

Actually - when I want gold I just go out and find it. I have friends with claims, too. One of the perks of being a gem hunter.

I save my money as much as possible. Sometimes I do purchases on impulse and it can be pricy.
Ex: I'll work hard and save 1000$ but spend it all the following day on a new accessory or new gadget.

I save up money... so that I can spend it. You can't take it with you. And I've never heard anyone on their deathbed say: "I'm glad I have all that money saved up".

I'm real blend between the two. Some days I'm a spender and some days I'm a saver. When I have a goal in mind I'm decent at saving towards it, not great but decent.

I tend to be more of a spender, but sometimes I'll spot something I want that I can't afford right this minute, so I start saving up for it. It does help to have goals when I'm trying to save.

I'm a saver. There's no feeling so good as knowing that no matter what calamity strikes, you have enough money set aside to handle it. I can't imagine living paycheck-to-paycheck! I've had a nest egg set aside since I was 19 years old.

On vehicles = spender. Everything else = Saver. However, I always play it safe. Like the above post said, I've got money aside that keeps me far from paycheck-to-paycheck.

I am generally a saver. I save up for all kinds of things, but mainly for emergencies. I only spend real money on things that will benefit me in the future.

Seems like every time I save up enough money for something, something crazy and unexpected happens and then I have to spend it. Life can be cruel at times.

I would say both, the only time I save is when I want something that's worth it. If there are two versions and one is better then I will save to get the better one.
