What's next guys? I'm predicting Orca, sticking with the black and white theme which is like b.l.a.c.k hat versus white hat. lol

I thought it was Pig next. IDK, I don't keep up with it lol

Orca is a good guess though. Maybe Zebra?

Here's a short video I made on the subject a couple of months ago:

I'm thinking the same way as Charlotte. Was guessing Zebra would be next. I couldn't even think of another black and white animal.

Hmmm, you might be on to something with the color scheme. My guess a good while ago was lemmings, but I'd have to go look at pictures to see their color.

There is another factor possibly at play here in naming their gotcha again series.. Size. Penguin is smaller than a panda, and surely the lemmings are smaller than penguins. Research is needed, but I have other more interesting things to do.

Don't know about the critter, but according to Matt Cutts they're going after exact match domains with low quality content now.

      They certainly are.

With the emphasis on "low quality content".

Some people with EMD's are whining that they've been "penalized" (not true, of course: all that's happened is that the poor quality sites have lost an artificial advantage they previously had just from their domain-name, an anomaly which it had long been Google's intention to "tidy up". As with earlier updates, the more they do, the more clear it becomes that the emphasis is on quality and relevance, and the fewer are the opportunities for people naturally inclined to manipulative/exploitative methods. They've been announcing this as one of their "guiding principles" ever since I've been online, and it's good to see it all very gradually but consistently and increasingly taking shape).

I'm thinking maybe they'll use a skunk - but that might send out the wrong message? Then again, it might send the right one to the webmasters of crap sites.

I was thinking of black and white animals because of the black and white hat techniques used in SEO.

And then, I was also thinking that they would use 'cute' animals like Panda and Penguin to make them less fierce than it actually is.

But then, that's just me. lol

Well, if they continue with the "P" animals, I think it'll be a Porcupine.

The reason being that they will show they are real sticklers when it comes to cracking down on poor content and sites attempting to game their algorithms.
