Des is 2 months old now and he gets this heart melting little lopsided grin when I talk to him. Sigh!

Wasn't that long of a trip, Terra. I don't miss you here -- I miss sitting on the porch at my dad's with you and ranting and raving about the whole world and giggling like little girls. I miss that especially this time of year when the colors back there are so spectacular. Sigh. I'm still thinking of coming back East for the winter. It may happen yet - but we'll have to find somewhere besides the porch to go so I can smoke without freezing my butt off.

Well, this time if you were up to it, you could come to my house and we could do all of the above while sitting in front of the fireplace with a fire crackling, toasting good times with some Asti. You definitely would be warm sitting there while you smoked.

That sounds wonderful. Ya know - as much as I hate winter, the one I spent at my sister's recently in warm CA wasn't all that great. I missed the fireplace gatherings where people tell stories and have warm drinks - and watch the snow fall outside the window. There's a special feel that season has in the North that those in the South just will never "get".

Exactly! As much as I hate the brutal cold winters too, there is something about the picturesque snow falling outside and the glow of a toasty fire crackling in the fireplace while you're all snug and warm inside with the company of family and/or friends to enjoy it with.

Anyway, if you make it this year, do come and visit. You know my home is always open to ya, girlfriend.
