Rant: Stupid EZA and their "standards"

EzineArticles has such subjective standards.

I had 10 articles written by the same author. 6 of them got approved several days ago so I submitted some more. Today, I awoke to four "your articles have problems" e-mails. Obviously, I got a different "editor" this time around and the jackass is treating his "editor" position like a mall rent-a-cop who thinks he's a real cop.

And what about the stupid EZA video and text about the various levels you have to climb and how "when your articles skills are progressing" and "you'll become a great author" blah blah. Guys, drop the pretense -- the only reason people put stuff on EZA is to market their sites. They're not there to "polish their article writing skills" or any other high-and-mighty B.S. - they are there to get traffic to their sites.

As you can tell, finding these 4 bundles of rejection joy in my inbox first-thing in the morning set me off on the wrong foot. I hate EZA...

OK, I'm going to try to turn-off rant-mode and continue with the day.

Well, what were the problems? They are trying to ensure quality over quantity and have tightened up. They are the "800 pound gorilla" and want to keep being the #1 source for info and traffic. I did almost 60 articles before I "got it" and received platinum. They are looking for people to give others useful info, not just links to programs.

If you give solid info, without expecting anything back, you will find that people will follow you and they will buy from you. So EZA is in fact helping you by being tough. If you truly feel they goofed, just email them and politely talk to them. I've yet to have an issue doing it this way. And I've had lots of articles kicked back as I progressed as a writer.

Point is, don't give up. After all, if it were easy, you wouldn't feel the satisfaction when you do become platinum.

I haven't had an article rejected in I don't know how long. The last one
was simply because I had a link in the first paragraph of the article.

      Other than that, zip.

Maybe the articles were rejected for a good reason.

      Yuh think?

** EDIT ** Okay, I just had an article rejected with the explanation, contact us LOL

I know it's not the content of the article, so it must have something to do
with the link in my resource box. My guess is, they don't like the product
that I'm sending people to, even though it's mine and there's nothing wrong
with it. But EZA is highly prejudiced against promoting certain products.

Well, guess what? It's their house and I have to play by their rules.

There are ways of getting around this that I won't get into here because
the explanation is just too long winded.

Point is, if you don't like their rules, go play in somebody else's sandbox

Maybe somebody else already submitted the articles? If you didn't write them yourself you have to take the chance that holding on to them for a time allows somebody else to jump the queue and get their copies published before yours.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.

Did you get anyone to review your articles?

I've never had a problem with ezinearticles - they are always quick and never turn down the articles. As mentioned above, they are number one. Guess how they stay that way?
Maybe the author just doesn't have great writing skills. The amount of people who string lines of trash together haphazardly and then call it an article has gotten to be ridiculous.
