Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

I have 1 beta fish in a 25 gallon aquarium (lol), his name is Seymour. Each time I give Seymour his fish food I say "Feed me Seymour!" (Little Shop of Horrors).

I don't personally have one, but my father has a Caniche and a cat, but I forgot the breed (it's white and has a blue and a green eye, which is typically for that breed, too bad it's deaf).

My brother has a Westie, which is a very playful dog and a joy to have around.

Pets are great, but you do have to consider them as part of the family - they need good food not just leftovers, professional medical care when in need, and other things that don't come cheap.

I agree with you. They also like a human with life that's why we need to take good care of them like our family members.

I have four dogs of my own and 7 foster puppies that were orphaned at 1 week old and were hand raised.

Have a look at these gorgeous babies - these are the 5 that haven't yet been adopted.
It's going to be so hard to let them go!

I noticed you are another Aussie - just wondering if your familiar with DOL ???
Best of luck adopting your gorgeous babies

Yep, I'm familiar with DOL :-) I don't post in that forum a whole lot, but I use it for "market research" - it's a good way to find out what's bothering dog owners around here :-) Where in Aus are you located?

I've had a ton of enquiries about these babies today so it looks like they'll all get adopted.
