Can anyone tell me why Instant Buzz, which has been found to have adware installed and is almost impossible to delete from your computer, is still being offered on the web? Now I have been following Mike Filsaime, and have tried to emulate his plans for success. I have seen him as a tremendous asset to my business. But why would he develop and endorse something so intrusive as Instant Buzz? And if you don't know by now, plaese stay away from Instant Buzz! It's an Instant Buzz Kill!!!...

    It is a pain to delete I will admit - you need to run a registry cleaner after you uninstall it - AND/OR GO INTO THE REGISTRY and delete the Instant Buzz folder.* (download ccleaner.com for free) scan applications and then sweep registry.

    InstantBuzz Warning Received - Error/Inability to Download.

    The message for InstantBuzz (IB) is a false positive. The reason is because IB is actually ADWARE which would only be bad if you didn't want to install it or didn't know it was installing on your system. In this case you are purposely trying to install it. The way that it replicates itself to each user, is exactly how trojans and worms behave. These are the 2 reasons why you are seeing this virus message.

    Having said that you should still scan it because stranger things have happened than an actual virus getting into it. They will say '2% of users have an issue' -- it really depends on your level of security and if you want to circumvent the warnings to go ahead and download it. Some more sensitive anti-adware programs will constantly tell you it is a pup (possibly unwanted program) every time you scan your machine.

    I guess you have to determine for yourself whether the risk is worth it. Some people do have problems with it - not a virus per se, but just in it 'messing up' their system (memory, etc) -

    You may need to manually remove it:

    Manually remove from registry

    * Browser Start Menu
    * Run
    * (type) regedit
    * go to "HKEY LOCAL MACHINE" and/or "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" >> "Software"
    * right click on Instant Buzz folder and Delete

    BE CAREFUL you are on the Instant Buzz folder and not something else - not responsible if you delete something else that will no longer work.

    If you still have problems please contact Instant Buzz:

    I tried marketing with it when I started out - even bought
    credits and stuff. The fact is the customer support never
    answered tickets about technical problems that came up -
    and I was an upgraded, paying customer.

    I found the traffic costly per lead too. So as an ad medium
    I wish I had never considered it.

    Oh Yea! And just a side note, if you ever get hit with this piece of crap, before you go to erase it you sholud probably back up all of your important files. I've heard it has been a common thing for files to be lost during this process. So if you are like me, and have lots and lots of very important files, make sure they are backed up.
