Did you know that the Shawnee Indians tried and failed to kill Simon Kenton so many times that they eventually refused to try, even in battle, because they believed he protected by the gods?
They tried and failed to burn him at the stake 3 times and all 3 failed. One failed because rain put out the fire. One was stopped by a Shawnee Chief to debate the issue. and the 3rd was stopped by British soldiers because they wanted to try him for treason. And, he then escaped from them.

      Tremendous!
Brings to mind several great quotes and theories.

Which is actually erroneous = because we only perceive matter. Everything is energy. Compressed energy is perceived as a solid.

I knew that it's a fairly widespread belief ... but it isn't quite right: kneecaps actually form during the 4th month of fetal life. (They just don't show up well on scans at that stage, or on X-rays after birth, because they're cartilaginous rather than ossified. The same is also true of several other bones in the human body).

If you've ever been to central/northern Indiana (US) you know why that's amazing, considering the lack of trees & miles & miles of open fields. Those open fields are mostly man made, that's a lot of lumber.

In the 1967 NFL Championship, the famous "Ice Bowl" between the
Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys in Green Bay, Wisconsin,
in which, the Packers beat the Cowboys on a 4th and goal with 15 seconds left in the game
with the score 17 - 14 Dallas, the Packers didn't kick a tying field, but went for the TD because Vince Lombardi said it was too cold, (10 below), and he wasn't going to put the fans through overtime. So, he went for the win and right guard, (yes, his nick-name on the team was 'deodorant'), Jerry Kramer made the block that allowed Bart Starr to score the winning TD?

This is for all the beer drinkers.
I'm sure that, at one time or another, you have raised a can to your mouth
and spilled some beer just before it reached your lips.
Everybody gets a kick out of you tipping the can too soon.

    Well, I have a theory....
I don't think we tip the can too soon at all.
I think it's a little trick the beer companies like to play.
I think they over fill the can sometimes, knowing someone will spill some.

And now you know the rest of the story.

    Did you know:

God and Jesus that Christians worship today are actually amalgams formed out of ancient pagan gods. The idea of a "virgin birth", "burial in a rock tomb", "resurrection after 3 days" and "eating of body and drinking of blood" had nothing to do with Jesus. All of the rituals in Christianity are completely man-made. Christianity is a snow ball that rolled over a dozen pagan religions. As the snowball grew, it freely attached pagan rituals and beliefs in order to be more palatable to converts. You can find accounts like these in popular literature:

"The vestiges of pagan religion in Christian symbology are undeniable. Egyptian sun disks became the halos of Catholic saints. Pictograms of Isis nursing her miraculously conceived son Horus became the blueprint for our modern images of the Virgin Mary nursing Baby Jesus. And virtually all the elements of the Catholic ritual - the miter, the altar, the doxology, and communion, the act of "God-eating" - were taken directly from earlier pagan mystery religions."
"Nothing in Christianity is original. The pre-Christian God Mithras - called the Son of God and the Light of the World - was born on December 25, died, was buried in a rock tomb, and then resurrected in three days. By the way, December 25 is also the birthday or Osiris, Adonis, and Dionysus. The newborn Krishna was presented with gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Even Christianity's weekly holy day was stolen from the pagans."

Knowledge is not always easy to accept. Simply because someone chooses not to acknowledge a fact does not make it any less true.

And how is this any more harsh than the comment above that Jesus was not born on DEC 25th? This just expounds upon that post.

December 25th is not the day that Jesus was born.

These guys were born on the 25th of December, and had incredibly similar stories to what was attributed to Jesus.
