My Goodness! I am just 6.1 ft and everyone says me tall. Thinking of sticking this man's picture in my bedroom to answer crirtics.

  • I'm actually surprised that spindly little chair in the first pic can hold him... - they must make pretty good chairs in Russia...

    (probably not Ikea...)

(also, that pic of him in an Army uniform (*the sleeves were made too long???)...you see what happens when you shop at 'big and tall'? - who's his tailor? :rolleyes (maybe they figure he'll "grow into it"...)

It must be mistranslated. It says he was normal unti he was 12 when the tumor was removed. I SUSPECT that "removed" should be replaced with "found", to make everything make sense.

Amazing that someone can be over 400 lbs and not even appear overweight.

Edit: Here's the most interesting part of the article:

"According to scientists, many thousands years ago there lived a human race of giant people on the Earth. Their height could reach 365 cm (12 ft), weight – 400 kg (880 lb). There were excavated huge axes and clubs with weight of 5-10 kg and even a tooth 67 mm (2.64′) high and 42 mm (1,65′) wide. The analysis revealed that the age of the found remains was 9 million years."

This is not something you would read in the mainstream U.S. media -at least they wouldn't call it scientific.

Well, the Bible speaks of such things, and people ignore THAT! Who knows? OBVIOUSLY people can grow to be FREAKISHLY large. GRANTED MOST are either artificially enhanched, or due to a tumor, but it makes you think....

As for 400 pounds? I don't appear overweight when I am 220, so someone almost twice my height that was 400 pounds would seem SKINNY! But 400kg is 880lbs. So let's see, 440 extra pounds? That guy would have to be like a gorilla.

Maybe at that height and large boned frame, 400 lbs is average weight.

Don't get too excited: EnglishRussia isn't exactly on a par with Nature. Think more of a mix of Fox News, the Daily Mail, and the Weekly World News... but with less credibility.
