Can anyone shed some light on why Adobe flash plug in crashes all the time?

I have tried everything to fix it according to their files.
I have changed the versions, I have done uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing seems to last long.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean In your browser,or just overall any and everywhere? I have found Chrome and Flash don't play well together.

No idea. Mine has been doing it for months.

I just keep reporting the error when it happens, hoping they will get it fixed.. even though we all know they wont LOL

Same here. I use Firefox and it seems like ever since they updated it (not the last update, but the one before the last) flash has been crashing.

Some sites are just worse than others.

I had the same problem for a while - I had to disable hardware acceleration. If you do a "right" mouse click on a flash video - like in youtube - and then click on "settings" you'll see a checkmark next to "enable hardware acceleration". Uncheck the box. It was also happening on another computer of mine, and I just searched around for an older version of flash. I uninstalled the new version, and then installed the older version and it worked.

My browser is the most current one. Thanks anyway.
    It is very frustrating.
I am wondering if maybe I should uninstall and reinstall the browser itself?

No, l did a lot of research last time, this happened to FF. It was crashing 2 or 3 times a day, and driving me nuts!

Some people went as far as deleting and reinstalling the lot, and it didn't work. On top of the fact that they lost all their bookmarks!

      So, l wouldn't recommend it!

Just keep the open tabs related to flash ad,s and videos down to a minimum, defrag and run antivirus, every day, and restart when things start flashing, (or the videos crash)!

Use the xmarks add on for ff. It handles bookmarks better than anything else, including Chrome. (imo) You can just restore your bookmarks from the online storage.

Thanks Shane. I guess I have to put up with it til they do fix it IF that happens.

Welcome, Laurence, another thing l can recommend is use IE, it tends to crash less often than FF. I also found that when FF flash crashes, then IE, will cope a bit longer, but it usually starts in IE, after a minute or two, so it is best to restart!

And they will and do fix this, but you will have to wait til the next upgrade, or they are aware if the issue, and that it is p*** customers off!

So, give it time, and have a punching bag, handy, LOL!!!

It crash on my computer too. In IE, Chrome AND Firefox... I've no idea why. Flash seems to be some really crappy sh*t.
