Is it just me or has the Warrior forum turned into some sort of weird congregation for people named Alex (me included)? :confused:
I keep running into my own name all over the place in here! Would like to see how many of you would come in here and leave a reply

    I'm more concerned about males calling me "Dear".

    I don't know what that's all about.....but it's new!

      I have actually noticed men calling other men "dear", here, now you mention it. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course, Sugarplum.

      I hadn't noticed. Much. But unlike me, you probably don't get people calling you Alexia or Alexis?

      I remember a thread from a couple of years ago in which everyone apart from myself was called Matt (or Matthew, anyway). I felt like an interloper posting there at all. Less so here, of course.

      Thankfully I haven't run into it myself yet, but i'm sure it'll catch up at some point :p

      Well here's to all the Matts and Matthews and Alex(is, ia, ander, i and of course Alexia)'s out there :p

      I've seen that too. I think it's a case of English being a second or third language and them not realizing it's generally not used toward the same sex in English speaking countries. Either that or maybe it's a cultural thing.

      Or, someone is just sweet on you.

      Of course that had everything to do with me not being bothered to remember everyone's names.

      Can't remember what made me stop now I come to think about it.

      Anyway, I'm outta here, I'll leave the rest of you Sunshines to carry on.

        When I was about 18 or 19 a bunch of us were partying in one of gang's apartments. The girls used to call me Sunshine, but the guys, never. There was a guy partying with us that was new to the crowd. I was talking with a couple girls and he wanted to get my attention, so he says (loudly) "Hey Sunshine." The whole room went quiet. The guy looks around at everyone and you could tell he was embarrassed. Maybe you had to be there, but it was funny at the time.
