The DHS is apparently buying over 2700 TANKS for US streets! (HEY, what about the SEQUESTRATION?)

In other news, some rats in Iran have become SUPER RATS! From an average size of 60grams, they are now about 5 THOUSAND grams! That is about 11 POUNDS! CATS are scared of them! Apparently, most poisons don't work on them. Then again, with their size, they probably aren't so interested in small chunks of cheese, and normal traps would be worthless against them.

A teacher CONFISCATED and SEARCHED a digital camera of a boy at a school because the boy showed another boy a picture of a BB gun. The teacher questioned his mental stability. BTW the boy was from a nice area, and son of joseph Phillips, best known for his role as Lt. Martin Kendall on The Cosby Show.

I've thought the DHS was creepy since it was formed after 9/11. The money and power given to this agency is amazing and a little frightening.

However, don't know the truth about tanks - and the "reasons" and "uses" seem to be pure conjecture on the part of bloggers.

Much more concerning to me is Robert Gibbs revelation this week that he was "instructed" not to speak of, answer questions about or even acknowledge the drone program for the past two years. The lack of outrage over that is a sign of how much the media here is being controlled. No telling what else we aren't being told, is there?

Well, they ARE DOMESTIC! So there isn' much room for debate as to use. they MUST be used in the US, ro they are out of scope and illegal. 2700 is a lot, that is 54 for every state! And they are armored, etc... So ANYTHING is, as you put it, "creepy".

The US media is under more control than the news in any other fascist regime....ever. THAT is frightening. Even Woodward has been challenged - and he's about the last REAL investigative journalist with the fortitude to step up to the plate and give us what we need to know that we've got. The rest aren't even journalists, they are only paid to look good and READ the news to us. A paid reader is one hell of a lot different than an Investigative journalists. They can now be put in jail for telling the truth and are having laws made that will force them to turn over all their sources to the "authorities". Whose going to say anything when they know a swat team will be busting in their door for it? Whistleblowing is becoming legalized, too.

Everything coming down the planks right now is pretty damned scary. They use fear to get people to agree something is okay - like the burning death of that ex-cop in CA. No trial, no proof he did anything. For all we know his manifesto was made up and stuck online to gain support for the witch hunt that ensued. People were made afraid of that guy and media purported him as a PROVEN killer to get them to be okay with that martial law farce and murder they perpetuated down there. And many actually bought it. They should be suing that dept en mass for that three ring circus side show.

You can do anything you want to a people if you can make them afraid enough to accept it. Making Americans afraid seems to be a piece of cake, too. They never seem to be aware of a principle called "precedence". Once you let them violate a right for any purpose, in effect, that right is gone. They then have the precedence to violate it whenever they want to. All they have to do is lie a little bit or sensationalize why they are doing it and all the cows do is belch a little and go back to chewing.
