Forum Admin or Scammer?

Recently, I received a message from a member, he said he represents warrior forum. However, when I checked out his profile, I did not see anything shows that he is admin or manager.

My question is how can I know a person is a real admin/manager when he send me a message?

P.S I just want to protect myself, and I believe this type of thing will happen to another warrior members.

Thanks for your time to answer my question becasue this is serious problem.

Bests,
Marcus

There are very few reasons an Admin or Mod would message you.
This may not be the best answer, but if any doubt, forward to the helpdesk.

Going by his join date, I doubt he's any type of admin (join date 01-13-2013). I could be wrong though.
Maybe copy the message and send it off to the help desk.

That guy joined THIS YEAR -- report him to admin. If you saved the email, forward that, too. Not as in, think about it. As in - do it NOW.

Some people thought I was admin for a time, because my post count was SO high, and I was listed first.

The admin HERE has a user name of ADMIN, so it is EASY to determine! BTW NEVER do anything simply because the guy is an ADMIN! It shouldn't influence your opinion ONE BIT, unless he uses it to control you in some non related way, or he lies about it. If he does THAT, RUN!

You need to remove that members name from your post.

It's against the rules to call someone out, even if they "deserve it".

S/He did not claim to be an admin, a mod, or anything else "official." The infraction system is there for the members to use when they feel someone is breaking the rules, or crossing some important line.

In this case, the member in question used it precisely correctly. S/He was polite, helpful, and had a specific concern, which turns out to be valid.
