Chinese physicists measure speed of Einstein's 'spooky action at a distance': At least 10,000 times faster than light

"A team of Chinese physicists have clocked the speed of spooky action at a distance -- the seemingly instantaneous interaction between entangled quantum particles -- at more than four orders of magnitude faster than light...
the physicists do not rule out that spooky action is actually instantaneous"

I fully believe that the behavior of some energy we detect is actually acting normally for the dimension that produces it and all we get to see is the part that shows up or "drives through" our own dimension.

Disclaimer: I am not a physicist so this might be stupidity. . Just one of those cinder block ideas like being an atom in the thumbnail of another being.

Not stupidity at all. I read a physics book a couple of years ago. I forget the title but it was one that had been popular outside the scientific community. The guy said that it's likely there are a dozen or more different "dimensions."

There's a thread up now about dreams. I mentioned that perhaps the dream state and our waking state are two completely valid realities. There are scientists that believe our dream realities are actually other dimensions.

I actually read a lot of physics TG - but am not a physicist so don't know how likely "bleed through" from one dimension to another would be.

I'm getting ready to write an ebook on dreams. I'm voraciously interested in subjects of mind and science. When you're not an expert in a field, though, some ideas that sound brilliant are pretty funny to people who are experts. That idea, was one of those types.

That, and how can space be curved?

Warp 9. Gotta figure that the makers of Star Trek never expected the average person to know the meaning of Warp speed anyhow.

No beginning or no end to what, space? ...time? ...the universe?

I saw an explanation of curved space once. Maybe it wasn't a good presentation, I have no other explanation to compare it to, but it didn't make much sense to me.

        Frankie Evans:

"I was a cocktail waitress at Gianonni's [strip club] in 1969 where I met Dick Feynman. He came in four or five nights a week, so I got to know him pretty well. He was not only brilliant and quirky, which everybody knows, he was also very kind and a truly gentle soul.

At first I didn't know who he was (he had been coming in for a while) until some of his students showed up at the door and said, 'IS THAT MR. FEYNMAN?' Well, Dick told me to tell them that this wasn't class and that he was off right now and trying to relax. So, they were very respectful and left him alone. After that I became Feynman's 'student blocker' and Dick and I became friends."

I am not being egotistical in saying I could also accomplish what nobel-prize winning physicist Richard Feynman did. I could also go to strip clubs.

A big BALL (for lack of a better word ) of energy was the beginning ...

The bang was the creation of the universe.

If you believe in the math behind black holes ... that is the end

This by the way is Einstein's theory of everything.

EDIT... I am WRONG... it is NOT Einsteins theory it is HAWKINS theory of everything.

Heysal mentioned seepage ... that is known as gravity, A lady .. i cannot for
the life of me remember her name right now, she mathematically explained how
gravity grows stronger and lighter based on the dimension it starts from
and seeps to here ( our dimension on planet earth ) Which fits hand in hand
with hawkins theory of nothing is perfectly in sync, so gravity created the
universe as we now know it ... as in if everything was lined up perfectly
the gravity would have no effect, but since nothing is perfect, gravity pulled
on the imperfections to create masses.. the masses eventually became planets, stars, comets, ect.

Theoretically the string theory supports his theory, and the gravity math ( i forget the name of that as well ) supports the theory of multi dimensions

according hawking's math ... a big ball of energy.

not to be confused with a star, or anything in the cosmos we are currently

50 years ago the question on everyone's lips was ( is the big bang real )

nowadays it is ... what made that ball of energy explode.

nobody has come up with a credible answer yet.

OK, so there's a big ball of energy. If the universe is "everything anywhere," wouldn't that ball of energy have been the universe, which later changed form?

A lot of this stuff is just theory, even thought it's accepted as fact. Not all scientists agree with Hawking, or agree with the Big Bang, or agree with current thought on black holes.

That's all above my pay grade, but I do find it interesting.

THAT is actually a hugely debated topic.

Not, DID that ball of energy exist. ( there are those who do not support that idea )
but nowadays it is a minority.

Mostly in the community that talk about this stuff and create theories
the question is no longer ( did the ball of energy exist or not ) it is ...

what was the catalyst, why did it happen, how did every galaxy get created
in a blink on an eye.How did it stretch out over bazillion miles in less
time then it takes you to blink.

WAS it some thing thing from a higher power that caused it, simply luck, or a reaction.

Nothing more then a sack of spongy meat encased in bone.

everything the body does is considered kinetic energy... except thinking and breaking
                        down nutrients.

from wikki. because, well i suck at writing ( and proud of it )

n physics, the kinetic energy of an object is the energy which it possesses due to its motion.[1] It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity. Having gained this energy during its acceleration, the body maintains this kinetic energy unless its speed changes. The same amount of work is done by the body in decelerating from its current speed to a state of rest. In classical mechanics, the kinetic energy of a non-rotating object of mass m traveling at a speed v is ½ mv². In relativistic mechanics, this is only a good approximation when v is much less than the speed of light.

As far as you mind producing or using energy when it is telling the body
what to do... Im guessing you mean brain. That only uses energy to complete tasks.
It also transfers energy over synapses.

But the mind itself ( arguably ) is not energy.

                        Do you mean soul ?

if you do.. i have no answer for that ... not even a guess

    Here's something to ponder.

If time, and space are infinite, then numbers are meaningless.
    For example:
If the odds of an occurrence are a trillion to one, a trillion has no meaning infinitey.
No matter how high the odds anything is possible.

Doesn't the mass of an object increase as it reaches the speed of light? So in theory, if that is surpassed, the mass would become infinitely great, and in turn, create a new universe?

Mass turns to energy at high speeds, so no. Time slows down - according to Einstein, time freezes at speed of light. Anyhow - approaching light speed would seem to be the best way for a woman to stay slim and young.

@Hey Sal - It might be seepage, or like how dogs see and hear many times better than humans. And some humans better than others. Maybe that's why some people see ghosts and others do not. A frequency kind of thing.

Wasn't it Copernicus who was condemned and agreed to be right 400 years later?
    Many ideas are like that.

@Travelin Guy - Sounds like the book you read might have been written by Dr. Michio
Kaku - now a leader in string theory and contends approximately 12 dimensions
Welcome to Explorations in Science with Dr. Michio Kaku

@John Durham - Nothing wrong with not being a physicist or auto mechanic, and being a brilliant man of commerce and probably good musician (I have no samples to go by and did not think much of The Fray two years before they would sell out Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado -so what do I know about musical talent. )

Dr. Kaku might be source for putting things in lay terms. Also you could always audit college courses and get a tutor if you really wanted to get a better grasp?

    This is Awesome!

I LOVE hanging in a room where 99% are smarter than me!

I have not studied physics, but I have watched a lot of the Big Bang Theory

Not to get all woo woo and the "secret" like, I believe the brain is indeed full of energy.

The hardware,if you will. The mind is the software.
