I keep seeing this abbreviation in forum posts: w/

Therefore it must be a big timesaver - and time is money.

So if I start using it now I should soon be seeing my income grow.

Please accept this money saving tip w/ my compliments.

It makes me cringe, along with the letter u... Argghh, I have read a whole science article in text speak out of shier annoyance for what I was reading! No idea why people want to abbreviate everything anyway, no wounder why this world is going down hill.

I think that using w/ instead of with is probably not good if you want to try to be taken seriously as a writer. However, for text messages and maybe online discussions, it is probably fine.
