The Rat B*stards are at it again...

Thanks to continuing resolution passed by Congress and signed by President Obama last week, lawmakers managed to avoid a government shut-down. But at the last minute, an anonymous senator included a rider called the "Monsanto Protection Act," which functionally deregulated the process for approving genetically-modified crops.

Are political threads allowed in the Off Topic section?

Well, the people listed in your post and the article are hardly
the only people who support this. Clarence Thomas used to
be an attorney on their payroll. Scalia has gotten more than
a small amount of money from them. Even most people who are
generally against it are wise enough to pick their battles,
and this is one that was lost long ago.

The bartender says: "We don't serve faster-than-light particles here."

    ...A tachyon enters a bar.

You might want to tell the millions of people in somewhere around 20 states who have managed to get labeling bills before their state assemblies
On the federal level it is pretty much a lost battle.
Thanks to the current admin., Monsanto has their people heading the U.S.D.A., high up in the E.P.A. and a former v.p. and lobbyist in charge of food safety in the F.D.A.
Not to mention all the congressmen they own thanks to "campaign donations".

    Why does #3 surprise anybody?

Typical bullshit from the "you have to pass it to see what's in it" crowd.

I'll just leave this comment at that. No point being suspended for REALLY speaking my mind about something we can't change.

I'm not surprised by any of it.
In fact I'm not even surprised anymore that people on both sides of the aisle still think their guys are trying to do what's best for the country and the people.

    Of course they aren't.

We are (and have been) on our own for a very long time.

Nobody understands that though. Well.. not many do.

Yeah, there is some point where they allow things to be added AND, once added, they have to vote on everything again. If it is in the senate, it must go back to the house. It is apparently unlikely that such a change will be removed. "representatives" OFTEN do that to passs things they know people will NEVER accept.

Like that one? HHHHMMMMM - wasn't it more about the war on gays that they were airing on MSM about the time that happened? People call our reps stupid. They are anything but stupid...if they were stupid things couldn't go this wrong for the population before it crashed and burned. We're being taken down. Hold on. Rough ride ahead.

On the fed level - pretty much everything is a lost battle these days. Anyone who doesn't think so hasn't been paying much attention.

PLAN or not, big conspiracy or not, some things have been planned for over 100 years, and they just keep bringing them up.

Yeah who'd have thunk that a bunch of rich psychotics would get together and devise a plan to rule the world - and actually be able to pull it off? I don't know what piece I play - but I think I've been Rooked.

      Sal -

Ever wonder if these folks who think their goals are so superior and important will end up ruling a world that isn't worth ruling...because of their own shenanigans?
