Why Indians keep their hair long.

OK, then you would think many males today, and many females of days gone by would have the same sixth sense, but they don't.

Supppressed pretty heavily, Steve - would have to re-develop them. Also might have to get out of the microwave grid and get away from toxic chemicals. There's a lot messing with us today that isn't good for our senses - even the 5 that we currently rely on.

On the other hand, or should I say head, (and I am being earnest) what is women's intuition all about? Also, recall how Michael Landon kept his hair long saying he felt stronger with it long.

To me the hair acting as a sort of antennae has plausibility.
Suppression as well. Ditto for the waves and toxicity.

It sorta makes sense, but I don't buy it. I was a long-haired hippie type when I was young, until I went into the Navy. I suffered no loss of intuition when my hair was cut off.

  One thing that is interesting is the fact Samson lost his strength after he had his hair cut (In the Bible)
  
  Mind you, I don't see how having extra intuiton helps you pull a few pillars over or bash a lion.

  Really. Ever seen a cat sneak up on something? They are quite hard to save yourself from once they are behind you........... hence - intuition.

  Good point but he took the lion out in a straight fight I believe, that too of course would have involved a fair bit of intuition.
  
  The pillars are more to do with strength too. That was my point, it didn't mention intuition in the Bible (I think anyway), he lost his strength from losing his hair. I'm just pointing out the link between Samson and the Indians and then pointing out the slight difference in two similar stories.
  
  What cat are you on about too? Domestic or a lion? If it's a lion, I'd hope I could hear the two ton thing approaching but yes, intuition and an elephant gun would be handy.
  
  A domestic cat would be well advised not to sneak up on me. Especially when I'm with my dogs.

  Interesting - but I think much of our intuitive state is suppressed today due to the rush/bustle/noise around us.
  
  My dog can be zonked out totally in her bed - if I stand behind her she doesn't wake up or move. But if I hold my hand a few inches above the lower part of her back...she will wake up and look to see what's going on. Fur intuition?

I wonder if balding has the same effect as cutting.

There are some religions that don't cut their hair. Wonder if there is a tie in that has been long forgotten.

A lot of people figure they shouldn't second guess nature or god. With SAMPSON the idea was obviously NOT the hair, but the oath his people took to god. HECK, muslims and some others take the SAME sort of oath today and some of them EVEN eat the same diet they did hundreds of years ago, and STILL nothing special.
