Many on this forum are seeking success but an awful lot depends on just how much you want something.

This is a true story that happened last Saturday. My wife and I were at a Greyhound Rescue fundraiser which involved the usual table top sale, raffle, tombola etc. A friend's 9 year old son asked his mother if he could have a fancy ladies ring he'd seen on one of the stalls. His parents were a little disconcerted that he was so keen on a ladies ring and said no and suggested he look around for something else. Busy with there own stall they gave him and his younger sister £1 each and off they went.

The boy returned smiling broadly and clutching two packets of biscuits that he'd won on the tombola stall. His mother was delighted as they happened to be her favourites. He disappeared into the crowd and returned shortly afterwards holding a small bag and looking a bit sheepish. Yes, he had the ring! His mother asked him how he'd got it? He said "I spoke to the lady on the stall and she said the biscuits were her favourites so I let her swap them for the ring".

A budding entrepreneur? I think so, even at the age of 9 he was going to succeed in his, admittedly a little odd, goal.
