    wow - now if this was gorgeous THAI food it would be one of the best things in the world, a marinade made with LEMON GRASS.

    i never eat beef but either one would go with chicken or fish!

        In the US it HAS to be organic to be processed grass. Otherwise it's processed MONSANTO corn. Guess that might make it a Frankenvegetarian diet, eh?

          I have no expertise in agriculture or the US economy, but my understanding is that cows do not digest corn well, Monsanto or other, and feeding them corn results in far more dangerous e-coli bacteria presence in their meat than that of grass-fed cattle. However, they're fed corn because US taxpayers subsidize corn production (Monsanto variety). Please correct me if I am wrong.

            I'd love to be able to correct you - but you're spot on.

            Americans aren't subsidizing this corn by our own will - it's being forced on us. We've got all those damned factory farms that don't understand that an animal should eat its natural food. We can't give that beef away to most countries. Nobody wants it. Including any US citizen that knows what GMO means. We're fighting very hard for GMO labeling laws and there's one going to be voted on soon.

            I'm thinking that as more people become aware of what factory farms do to animals their whole lives - and what toxic garbage the meat is that comes from these animals, there might be enough of a drop in meat purchase (at least non-organic) that factory farms might just die the miserable deaths they need to die.

              I suspect that on some level, people are aware that things they're consuming aren't compatible with their physiological makeup. I sometimes see people who are wheelchair-bound (those motorized scooter things) merely because they're too fat to walk. That is just wrong.
