RIP. He made Sopranos one of the best (if not the best) tv series of all time.

I heard he'd died in Rome. Quite a way from Sicily.

      Either way, it's very sad.

Devastated. The first time I have truly felt upset for a famous being who passed to the other side.

Even though they said they would never, ever, ever do a Sopranos film. It was always a hope in the back of my mind that said maybe one day they would.

Now that hope has faded into nothingness.

    RIP JG

I forgot about the movie. That would have been cool. The good part of this sad story is that he was able to share his genius with the world while he was alive. So many people live on "Someday Isle," and never step out to share their talents, whatever they may be.

It is really sad and tragic. He died too young. Stuff like this is part of the reason why I support the research of The SENS Research Foundation. SRF Home | SENS Research Foundation

The author, David Masciotra described James Gandolfini as "the Brando of the small screen." Can't argue with that. A hugely talented actor.

      RIP.

My best friend died in his early fifties. That's just not fair! I'm still feeling like 35 at 62! Those guys deserved better! My buddy never did regular doctor visits. Found out he had colon cancer when it was too late. I developed ulcerative colitis with pre-cancerous polyps 10 years ago myself. It was found early and I'm in no danger whatsoever. Colonoscopy every two years but that's a small price to pay for another decade or three of life. Better see the doctor regularly at least by fifty and I'd recommend at least one complete workup by forty just to be safe. Heart attacks often kill in the forties and getting high blood pressure under control prevents them. Of course, you have to know you have high blood pressure to treat it. Plus all the other crap that tries to kill you young. Sorry about ranting on but if this post saves one life it's worth it. See a doctor before you get too old even if you feel fine!

    I loved the Sopranos.

It's sad. I heard the story on the news and didn't want to watch it or hear it. I'm close to the same age.

Another reminder, life is short. Too short.
