I had just done this cross country assault course thing. It was this last Saturday.

Running through streams beds, crawling through sewer pipes, wadding through mud, In and out of numerous trenches, crawling under those barb wire obstacles etc. So covered head to toe in mud. The last part of the course involves swimming or wading across some lakes, so the mud washed off my body mostly, but not the face.

Well there wasn't actual sewage in them, just mud and water. Lots of mud.

I did 2 laps (about 10 miles). First lap in 1 hour 40, second in 1 hour, 59.

Last year I only did one lap, and that took 1.45, so an improvement.

Covered in scratches, bruises, and two days later, i'm still aching mid section and shoulders - lot of upper body work, pulling yourself up ropes and cargo nets. Before next time I need to do some upper body training I think.
