The charity is run online by a group of volunteers. We don't have premises, but rely on foster carers and adopters, and occasionally boarding kennels in emergency situations.
We raise all our funds by continual fundraising events and manage to cover the €2000 a month vet bills. This month however, because so many animals have been abandoned over the summer, our bills have more than doubled. A story in the national press could really help us.
We recently had a situation where a very cute five year old, out here on holiday found an abandoned dog. He touched a lot of hearts when he told everyone about the dog, in his own words in a video.
A foster family was very quickly found and an offer of a forever home followed. We think this could make a lovely feel good story, but we need someone to write it in a way that the press will want to use it.
We would be very grateful if someone would offer to do this for us.
Thank you for reading.
