Thank you for the informative video on the software. I learned a lot.

Quick request: Can you even out the audio on your next video?

Since you sort of mumble, I can barely hear your voice, so I have the volume all the way up.

When you suddenly drop in Metallica during the "speed-up" segment in the middle, my eardrums burst out of my head and blood pours out on my keyboard.

I'll be at the doctor in case you have any questions.

Thanks again for the good info.

Sincerely,

Bloody Ears

Dear YouTube GIMP tutorial video maker,

Thank you for taking the time to show me how to do that super cool text effect in 15 seconds flat. Your assumption that I can A: see your tiny low res screen capture and B: already know exactly where your mouse is going to go, what you are going to click, and tweak, and why and C: get a lot out of your highly informative "Then you do this, like this, see it looks like that" instructions is Extremely helpful. I also particularly enjoy the big explosions and brain shatteringly bad music intro you put on it because you thought you were some kind of badass pro.

You're the best, much appreciated, I'll be subscribing to your channel.

THANKYOU! I was WONDERING when I would see this! ALSO......

DON'T require sound and then fail to record it!

DON'T fail to equalize volumes that are so different that being able to hear one may mean you endanger your hearing.

DON'T take 5 minutes to tell us how great you are for quickly teaching us a 5 second tip.

    DON'T start the sound automatically.

    DON'T use poorly contrasting colors.

  • Dear YouTube Video Tutorial Maker,

Thank you for the final installment four years later on the six-part, six-week, one-per-week series you promised in the beginning. You did explain in the last two videos that were a year apart that you have been SO busy with school and your new job at Piggly Wiggly.

One request: For your next video, can you edit out the part where you clearly don't know what you are talking about? I appreciate you trying to explain it several different ways. The difficulty you are having is you have no clue.

Hey, don't worry, neither do I!

But you could save about 35 percent of both of our time if you just take that part out.

Plus, you would save me from my brain melting when you start and stop the same sentence 53 times: "OK, guys, I wanted to show you this feature, it's right here in this menu...uh, it's not there, you have to switch the views, OK, here is the feature I wanted to show you, what you do is...ok, it's not there, either...maybe they took it out of this version...Oh, I know the deal, you have to select this tool, OK here is the feature I wanted to show you...nope...."

Thanks again. I appreciate the stuff you do know.

    Sincerely,

    Melted Brain

    Dear children's video maker,

Thanks you for putting so many "click here" overlays on your videos, and from beginning to end at that, so that a very sizeable portion of your video is obscured.

Your many annoying overlays have helped be tremendously in choosing whose videos NOT to watch with my little granddaughter.

And a special thanks to YouTube itself for running ads about violent movies, lingerie, and other adult topics on the pages for children's video. My little 3-year-old granddaughter really needs to see these things. You can't start them too early.

    Sincerely, Grumpy Grampa
