New Zealand has recently exempted software from the patenting world which tech gurus are predicting will cause a tech boom.

Looks like with this and Australia's NBN lots more tech will come out of the southern hemisphere.

      as i said, not getting my vote

      but he will immediately be out a job as he has promised 50% men 50% women in his caucus, so no room for... i cant bring myself to write that word ...

      hope he doesnt make it compulsory

    Well, Removing ALL patents on software is STUPID! Here is a thought! Why don't they FOLLOW THE LAW AND REASON!!!!!!!!! Unique and inobvious ONLY!

    I mean some software could invalidate electronic patents.

    Who does NZ expect to do business with if they steal and use patented software? Plus in many places software code is protected under Copyright laws, and not just patent.
