    There are certain sections where your posts don't count towards your total. The off topic section is one. I forget which ones also fit this category.

      Posts in "Off Topic" and "WSO's" aren't counted. I think all the rest are. Posts initiating threads are included along with all the others.

      (Why does it matter, anyway?)

        Yes to agree what has be said above "post off topic" won't count but posts/replies within the thread does count.

    I agree with the above, Off-topic and WSO threads do not count, but it has been my belief that every third Sunday and nights that are full moon don't count also.

      That's not what Sesame Street's The Count says, he says counting always counts whether the count is being counted or not. :p
