What do I need to consider - New PC?

I need a new PC. It's going to have Win 7; 1Tb Hard drive; 8Gb Ram and perhaps Quad core.

I want a stupidly fast PC and be able to run software for video creation and stuff that needs a lot of processing power.

What else must I consider? What are the specifications on your PC and are they adequate?

Thanks

Brian

Those look like pretty good specs for basic video editing work. Just make sure your hard drive runs at at least 7200rpm. And if you plan to do a lot of hi-def multitrack editing, it wouldn't hurt to have a little more RAM. 16GB should be quite sufficient.

A good graphics card is a must too. Especially one with dedicated RAM.
