How much can an extra hour's sleep change you?

      5 hours would be a real good night sleep for me. I average about 4 a night.

        Between 6 and 7 AM is time to get up for me,no matter what time I go to sleep. But the past few years I have serious insomnia and do fall asleep anywhere from 1-3AM so anything over 5 is a good nights rest for me also.

    I used to get very little sleep - by choice. Never bothered me any - but now when I'm feeling normal, I get 7.25 hours. Seriously - after 7 and one quarter I wake up. Not sure what it is about that 15 minutes, but it seems my body wants it for some reason.

    Now I know why I am not energetic and active at work whenever I sleep less than 8 hours. I should change my sleeping habits so that I can sleep an average of 7-8 hours.
