Ever Make A Fool of Yourself?

Some individuals make fools of themselves a lot. I'm one of them. I'm not talking about clumsy mistakes of youth either, but even stuff in recent years. Some years back, I (shudder) actually tried promoting MLM schemes to total strangers. Making a fool of myself is not a once in a while occurrence in my life. It is practically a lifestyle. Why do I do it? It is not intentional, of course, but I am willing to explore different ideas with an open mind and even take them for a spin. Taking untested vehicles for a spin sometimes leads to wipe-outs.

    I don't think you were making a fool of yourself.

    The more mistakes you make, the faster you learn. Think of all the timid souls out there who didn't even try.

    The important thing is that you learn, and not repeat the exact same mistakes again.

      Are you serious? That's my favorite way to joke with people.

      Sometimes I'll say something that has two or three layers of irony to it.
      But to me, it's hilarious. Even if nobody else laughs.

        I think that statement helps to prove my point. It's difficult to joke with people without being foolish.

    TB, maybe you've been hanging out with Horace too much. Those plaid suits, especially when one moves around a lot like Horace does going door to door, can be difficult for our brains to process. All those shifting lines and blocks of color in motion . . . the mental computational power needed to process that for our eyes is tremendous, let alone the additional mental resources needed to interpret what our eyes are seeing. Sometimes other brain functions suffer as a result, thus leaving open the possibility for foolishness.

    Of course, I never do anything foolish myself because I live in the past where I can fix anything that's happened before it actually happens. It's tricky, but that's why they call me Dennis "Who Lives in the Past So He Can Edit Things that Go Wrong Before They Actually Go Wrong" Gaskill.

    Gee, I kind of sounded like Claude "The Man of a Thousand Nicknames" Whitacre there.

    Ya know, I'm an animal lover and much prefer to think that I just make a jackass of myself rather than a fool. It's a much more palatable flaw that way.

    That's something I do regularly lol,
    Las week I design a logo for a warrior he was going to pay and I foolishly send final files before his payment and he didn't reply back and stop responding me lol..
    It was confirm that he will pay if I waited for payment clearance I thought he has sent it
    Anyways that's part of life

    When I was in my teens and early 20s I used to do singing telegrams (no, not the stripping variety) and people often said I was making a fool of myself. I said that they must be the bigger fool because they're paying me. It was good money too. Back then I could make up to $500 for a weekend...at an average of maybe $50 an hour.
