Memorial Day
On memorial weekend starting on Saturday and continuing through Monday (Memorial Day) I volunteer my time for the town of Utica's Ice Cream Festival. I spend this weekend serving Ice Cream to several thousand hungry Ice Cream eaters. We are a not for profit organization that raises money for the less fortunite of the community. Sertoma is the organization that sets up and runs the festival (Service to Mankind). This usually starts a week prior to the start of the festival and breaks down one to three days after the festival.
I guess this is my way of giving back and showing my support to those that have given to me not only on this particular weekend but throughout the year.
So how do you spend your weekend off during Memorial Day Weekend.
God bless those that gave all so that we may have this choice to do what we want on this and every other day of our lives.
