Hi Warriors
Need your advice - may be someone meet his thing before.
Seems to be joke or "push" - today I've received e-mail:
Your e-mail address attached to the ******* with Number:***** which subsequently won you the sum of GBP £500,000.00 in category "B" credited to the file Ref Number
To file for your claim, kindly contact our accredited claims agent.
Name: Mr. Richard Adams

Any one know what is it?
(I tend to delete this - BUT 500.000 POUNDS!..YOU KNOW....)

I've won so many "lotteries" that I couldn't have possibly entered and didn't even know existed until I got my "winning email" that it's not even funny. I "win" one of these "lotteries" at least a dozen times a week, I have hundreds of trillions of dollars in "unclaimed winnings" from these things.. lol

But seriously, at best it's a waste of time and at worst it's a major scam to suck your bank account dry.. either way it's not worth responding to.

I wonder what scammers would have to do for people to remove the "but"....

"I know this is too good to be true.....but...."
        "I didn't even enter this contest....but...."

The "but" is from all those dollar signs floating around in your head that cause stupiditis. You know it's not true....but what if it is? You know it's a scam.....but what if it isn't.

I swear - I could probably send out emails with the header

        "Dear Mr/Mrs Gullible"

and someone would click the link!

I think it is like a joke because I think it should be delivered to your house or maybe called you personally.

No joke - this is serious business.

We could all learn something about marketing from the scammers that send out these emails - after all, they are making a fortune with no product, no web site . . . . er. . . where have I heard that before?

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.

Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

You have already answered your own question, haven't you?

Only the dreaded 'greed' trigger that they rely on to trap their victims, would make anyone look twice at this.
