Hey guys! I've just register today after holding it off for months. I am in a MLM company for over a year that deals with coffee/tea and other hot stuff.

The thing that upsets me is that my "upline leaders who are Diamond rank and above" tells us one thing but does another and kept it within their circle. So, all that stuff about 3-way calls and building a list (that I was also taught when I was in Amway) worked for them a decade ago and I'm sure you guys already know that people in that field over 90% are unsuccessful and struggling because of being taught outdated stuff. What these leaders really did was recruit experienced MLMers and have them switch their entire downline to the new company hence the "so-and-so made a certain gem rank in a week or 28 days." It sucks to look up to people only to find out that you've been lied to so you won't make more money than them.

I've been educating myself about affiliated marketing (that a lot of scammers come out of the woodwork to sell a business system off of another person and another and..so on) and how to market online effectively cause I am a results-driving person. I have two blogs on Tumblr and one is valued at over $100 (I forgot where I saw that).

I do have a Facebook and has almost unsuccessfully didn't get anyone to buy from me from my cookie-cutter website the company gave me (found out this is one of the reasons people don't buy from me). This is why I'm here, so seek help as to how can I market from Tumblr or Wordpress to reach my target market as well as getting paid for backlinks if possible. I do know that people make a lot of money from blogging positioning themselves as leaders.

I know it's a lot to read, unless you like reading. Later on I will post my username as soon as I find a good recent pic of me.:p Thanks so much for reading

    Welcome to the Warrior Forum!

Some here are in MLM, but most aren't. Fair warning: The general opinion of MLM isn't very favorable here.

I'm not in MLM, but used to be. I never made any money, but swore if I ever did it again, I'd get proper training. I've since located some EXCELLENT MLM success resources:

    1. Dani Johnson at DaniJohnson.com. She provides training to MLMers in all different companies. She was featured on the debut episode of ABC's Secret Millionaire show.

She offers a lot of in-depth training. Check out her Script Books and the "6 Figures in Six Months" program. It offers in-depth training on prospecting and closing, telling you exactly what to say.

    2. Michelle and Bill Pescosolido at OnlineWealthPartner.com

They are MLMers who focus on building their MLM business online. They also do a lot of affiliate marketing. They offer a lot of tearing to others on how to do this.

They use My Lead System Pro (MLSP) to build their business online. And Michelle is an expert at Facebook marketing.

Follow Michelle on Facebook and check out her many videos on YouTube. (The links are on their website.)

Also, ditch your up line and find a new one. I don't care how successful they are, they've proven they have no integrity. I know that can take time though, so use the resources I gave you in the meantime.

    Hope that helps!

    Michelle

      Welcome to Warrior Forum.

You will find a lot of info about online marketing of all kinds here. One thing would recommend that you do right away is join the "War Room" where you will find a treasure trove of valuable information from IM veterans that will get you up to speed fast. I think it cost something like $37 for lifetime access, but it is money well-spent in my opinion. Joining the War Room also allows you to PM other members immediately, without having to build up to 50 posts or whatever is the current minimum.

Have fun browsing the threads, and good luck in your marketing endeavors.

Create a product that solves a problem for a large bunch of people.

Go and sell that product to them.

That's the quickest way. Forget trying to make others above you rich. Go and start creating your own web assets.

    • Hey,

two things. Before you start the new venture always prepare for it. Do your research! Ask your friends, post questions on forums - look for reliable sources.

Don't just jump, when you see the first offer. Think about it first! When you've made your choice - stick to it (don't just jump from one, to another opportunity).

In MLM (the same goes with IM) Pareto is very much present - meaning 20% of the people earn 80% of the money.

I used to be in one of the most successful MLM firms but NOW anyhow I stick to my rule. MLM is great, but you have to the ONE running it!

Aawww thank you everyone! I feel like crying! I was afraid that I'll get bashed because of being in an MLM. I've always felt deep down that the only REAL WAY to be successful is to do things MY WAY (rebellion must run in my family) not what "my uplines" tell me how and with the wise counsel of people who "been there done that." Every freakn time I do the things they tell the team that could "help," it either (a) worked VERY LITTLE or (b) it doesn't work at all.

I see that this forum is HUGE! How do I track my post?

I will take everything to heart of what all of you have told me, and I've always do my research when things look too good to be true (before I joined here)

I do have a domain from GoDaddy I forgot to mention though. I wanted to start selling my old things locally through Facebook and start a biz page for my city. If there has already been discussed let me know.:p

I've read Napolean Hill's books and other books that challenged me to change the way I think and what I say to myself. I have a burning passion to never give up and find my way to get to that freedom. I'm definitely sticking around!

(goes and find any of my pics for username)

Click on your username on the upper, right-hand side of this forum. It will pull up your user profile. Just below your photo, you'll see some tabs: "About Me", "Statistics", etc. Click on the "Statistics" tab and then click on "Find all posts by TheBizLady" or "Find all threads started by TheBizLady."

Voila! There's the list of all of your threads and posts in reverse chronological order.

I use this feature often since posts on this forum get moved down so fast.

Be careful with this. If you're doing things differently to get different, better results, or to do it in a way that better suits your lifestyle, then go for it. But don't do it "your way" just for the sake of doing it your way.

If you've found someone getting results in the way you want to get results, then do what they tell you to do! Don't change it up just to change it up (and then complain because it doesn't work).

So many people DON'T do what their mentors/coach/upline tells them to do. They either do only part of it or do it differently and then complain when they don't get results! Newbies are particularly guilty of this. I know I've done it in the past. All it does is add to the time before you'll see success. (What is it in us that thinks we need to change things??)

Find someone that you can respect, someone getting the results you want -- and then model them exactly.

        Hope that helps!

Hey Biz Lady, nice to meet you!

3 Way calls and lists do still work. However, I never call a single soul. I just funnel 'targeted' traffic into my cookie cutter system.

    It works wonderfully.

Simplicity and Perseverance is the key!
